Position Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior database developer to design and develop the database architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing databases in agile teams.
Essential Functions:

• Designing and developing database architectures.
• Schema design, code review, SQL query tuning.
• Utilize and Build Known Error Database for issues where root cause is available or if the root cause is already established.
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues.
• Any other DB Related activity assigned by Project Manager.
• Responsible for creation, improvement and maintenance of the databases.
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs.
• Responsible for supporting the SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability.
• SQL Reporting Services/Report Builder/ETL
• SQL Performance Profiling (both indexing and performance optimization of large datasets)
• Easily design and implement a business process into functional and efficient code
• Build a team of 3-4 database development experts.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent or suitable combination of education experience.
• 7-10 years of experience with SQL programming.
• Stored Procedure and Query Language programming.
• Advanced database programming.
• Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts.
• Good understanding of database design and implementation.
• Expertise in SQL/NOSQL Databases.
• Should be able to assist development teams in implementing best database usage practices.
• Should maintain Documentation as per the Industry Standards.
• Strong communications skills and ability to document and present complex designs to a wider audience.
• MCTS certified/Any Microsoft certificate related to database development is good to have.

Education + Experience

• A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Graphic, Web or other Design related concentration from an accredited educational institution.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
