We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a team specializing in experimentation. This is a team of subject matter experts on all things related to deploying, measuring and sharing results from business experiments at Allstate. The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing experiments (understanding appropriate ways to randomize, guiding conversations on metric selection, designing approaches to inferring results, sample size calculations) as well as contributing to the development of an enterprise experimentation platform.

- Consult with business partners on design and implementation of experiment-driven measurement of business initiatives
- Perform statistical data analysis for the design and measurement of experiments
- Communicate and present analysis of results from experiments to business partners
- Ability to communicate highly specialized subject matter in a manner accessible and impactful to business leaders
- Solicit and provide feedback through peer-reviews of code, analyses and measurement plans on self and other’s work
Primary Skills
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of statistics
- Strong ability to program in R and/or Python
- Experience with design of experiments, especially as part of a product team
- Bayesian inference, design of experiments for longitudinal studies, hierarchical models
- Familiarity with building, deploying, measuring performance of, and optimizing predictive models
- Strong presentation skills, comfort presenting to senior leaders
- Some experience designing tests to solve for multiple constraints
