Primary Function: As a Senior Data Analyst in the Data Analytics & Automation team, youll be:
Part of a passionate team responsible for data discovery, design, delivery, reporting, and analysis for our Accounts Payables (AP) & Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) organization, supporting the HQ as well as external business partners.
Serve as an advocate and architect of our data-driven culture, build and maintain an effective data ecosystem, and drive a continuous improvement mindset by seeking out new ways to solve problems.
A trusted partner to not just Finance SMEs, but all of Targets technology, data science, and business partners to co-create curated and scalable insights that democratize data, mature analytical approaches, and drive actionable insights to our end users.
Expert in / develop expertise in specific business domain, self-directed and drive execution towards outcomes

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: As a senior data analyst in Finance Capabilities, youll take the lead as you:

Actively exploring data for specific use cases and deliver standardized datasets, visualizations, and ad hoc queries
Working directly with business leaders and partners with varying levels of analytical and technical experience to co-create analytical & automation applications
Identifying business process optimization opportunities and delivering innovative solutions.
Monitor and analyze data tables/reports/dashboards/pipelines, do RCA and troubleshoot of issues
Applying analytical techniques and rigor to enhance overall data availability, accessibility & reliability
Documenting calculations, code, and adhering to data management principles
Active participant in enterprise analytics & automation community, trainings, and routines
Active participant and contributor in team meetings, agile ceremonies, scoping, and demos

Working Relationships:
Works directly with product owners, operations owners, other analysts and engineers to gain insight and access to relevant data.
Engages with product owners and users to deliver completed work.
Active participant in Data Analytics & Automation functions and training.

About you:
B.E/B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc., MCA OR equivalent.
5 years of knowledge and relevant experience (Finance / Supply Chain / Retails analytics is highly preferred)
Strong data understanding inference of patterns, root cause, statistical analysis, understanding forecasting/predictive modelling etc.
Strong experience with SQL and manipulating large datasets
Strong experience with Automation Portal, Greenfield and BigRed experience (must for Internal candidates)
Experience with data storage platforms & mining tools (Hadoop, Postgress, Oracle etc./ Alteryx, Data miner)
Experience with Python, R or other scripting languages preferable
Exposure to process automation & integration tools (BOTs like Targets Cygnus Studio, Filexpress)
SAP & Big data knowledge preferable
Experience working with cross-functional teams and business leaders in a product, agile setup.
Passionate about data, analysis, automation and its application to improve business insights
Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous problem definitions, recognize dependencies and deliver impact solutions through logical problem solving and technical ideations
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams, and translate ideas between them
Intellectually curious, high energy and a strong work ethic
Comfort with ambiguity and open-ended problems in support of finance operations.
Education: MCA/ PGDCAr r r r r r r BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
