Summary of Role/

Following the launch of our digital bank, Chase UK, we are embarking on a finance data transformation project to support the International Consumer Business (ICB). This will culminate in the development of a finance data platform to assist the Finance function in the execution of its business critical control responsibilities as well as supporting business decision making with modern finance analytics and insights. The project will deliver end to end data capabilities for the Finance function and other relevant stakeholders covering data modelling, reporting, dashboarding and the development of any bespoke tooling required. As product manager, you will work as part of a dedicated team taking the lead on design, requirements and delivery of finance transformation initiatives. You will partner closely with the product owner, engineers and finance stakeholders to develop a world class solutions to Finance problems focused on data quality, well controlled processes and value added insights.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the end to end design, development and delivery of finance transformation initiatives
  • Partnering with the product owner and finance stakeholders to discover, iterate and enhance business requirements as well as road mapping and prioritization of features
  • Designing innovative but practical solutions to finance problems that can be executed over tight timeframes
  • Working closely with data engineers, data modellers, business intelligence analysts and other data technologists in an agile environment to deliver stakeholder requirements
  • Ensuring appropriate documentation, controls and testing are in place to support your features at all times, working alongside our controls manager on these aspects

Strengths and Capabilities:
  • Product management of business intelligence, dashboarding and / or finance reporting platforms
  • A creative mindset, able to translate complex numerical problems into simple visual storytelling
  • Numerical with a good understanding of finance and accounting concepts, ideally an accounting background
  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional, agile teams as well as independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter and highly self-motivated
  • Attention to detail and a passion for innovation and best practice

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years' experience working in product development or change management environments, ideally within a highly data driven environment
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance related fields is preferred. Data analytics or computer science related fields will also be considered
  • Experience working in financial institutions / fintechs would be useful
  • Experience with Google Looker Studio, AWS cloud infrastructure or similar preferred
  • Some SQL coding experience would be useful but not essential
