Actuaries also expand their quantitative skills into the advanced data analytics to provide insights into underwriting, claims management, risk management and human resources management. Work you\'ll do Developing the actuarial models using Prophet system or other actuarial applications Supporting / managing the analysis and design of the actuarial models to be built and produce the model specifications Supporting / managing the building of the actuarial model to meet the model specifications Supporting / managing the testing of the actuarial models Documenting the models to audit and production standards Supporting / managing the build of data and reporting suite\'s using tools like SQL and Excel Supporting / managing the delivery of the modelling work packages actuarial models to clients Manage small teams of junior actuarial trainees / modellers as part of a larger project, including performance management and improve their modelling skills through on-the-job coaching A fit for the role Let\'s talk about you. Knowledge of the life insurance industry Demonstrated strong analytical & technical abilities. Experience in an actuarial model development team is preferred. Proficiency using computer software such as Excel (VBA-Macros), Word, and Access is desired. Proficiency in programming skills such as C++, Python, C# Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, meet project deadlines, and drive results. Must have team-orientation, and a proactive and optimistic style. Ability to work effectively as a member of a virtual team or independently. Strong project management skills is a plus. Strong task management and time management are a must. Graduation: Mathematics / Statistics / Economics preferred. Also, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration will be considered Post Graduation: Actuarial Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Data management Actuarial Certification, in the process of taking & passing actuarial exams will be a plus Preferably 2+ years of relevant life actuarial experience and 1+ year experience in developing actuarial models Experience using the Prophet system or other actuarial modelling system Experience developing code using Prophet or other actuarial modelling system Experience of working in a development team
