Work you\'ll do

The primary role is to make direct contributions to the engagement team on client engagements centered around ESG & Sustainability tracking & reporting. The role will entail advising clients on the development and implementation of their strategic ESG tracking initiatives. The primary responsibilities include:

ESG Tracking and Reporting:

• Help clients understand their sustainability priorities and devise strategy to ensure effective tracking of progress
• Act as a subject matter expert on sustainability related topics
• Prepare and present client deliverables in a structured format as per the objectives of the engagement
• Work with clients to understand their ESG reporting requirements, understand data landscape, and create strategy for data extraction, processing and visualization
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to create and deliver ESG dashboards

Client management:

• Lead client engagements and account management for services relating to ESG & sustainability initiatives, including reporting etc.
• Lead client workshops and meetings
• Managing day-to-day relationships with key client and internal stakeholders
• Managing teams to deliver client facing, and internal engagements, including monitoring engagement progress and budgets
• Identifying new client opportunities

Business Development

• Further developing Deloitte\'s ESG value proposition and approach including digital assets
• Conduct both primary and secondary research to build thought leadership and industry insights
• Support leadership with building ESG consulting practice through proposal development, sales pitch, developing tools and best practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in strategy/consulting including 3+ years of experience in an ESG or sustainability related role
• An understanding of the ESG and sustainability regulatory and reporting environment and an ability to proactively keep up to date with emerging regulations and standards
• An Understanding of ESG Risks and Opportunity Drivers as well as ESG rating methodologies and agencies
• In Depth knowledge of ESG data collection, verification, and reporting process
• Prior experience in driving client engagements and programs. Experience in dealing with clients on a day- to-day basis and managing client interactions independently
• Experience working with and managing new technology solution development teams
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle is a plus
• Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework. MBA/Advanced Degree in Sustainability/Environmental Studies preferred.
• Proficient user of Microsoft suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor.
• Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently
• This role involves travel.
