Position Summary: The Comparator Program Manager for India is regionally responsible for the growth of the Comparator in India. Meeting these objectives includes:

  • The support to sales teams in the generation and triage of opportunities, the formulation and the coordination of specific end-to-end account comparator sourcing solutions, and the implementation of tactics and strategies that primarily result in new sales while building long-term productive customer-supplier relations
  • The development of local sourcing channels and relationships with key suppliers/manufacturers for gaining competitive advantage in the market
  • Potentially the development and the management of a group of project managers to support the growth of the business.
As a member of the global comparator Team within the Clinical Supply Solutions organization you are responsible for the development and fostering of opportunities and synergies across all service line offerings as an overall goal in meeting client\xe2\x80\x99s needs. Part of this responsibility includes role modeling behaviors that support collaboration, creativity and development across service lines. Responsibilities:
  • Customers
  • Be the central point of contact in India to the commercial team for answering and advising on clients\xe2\x80\x99 requests, such as RFQs and RFIs.
  • Manages the portfolio of India Comparator clients and work closely with Commercial Team to triage accounts based on client needs and sale opportunities
  • Provides Comparator sourcing Subject Matter Expertise as single point of contact to commercial teams or directly to client in recommending sourcing solutions as well as in providing timely and accurate information
  • Owns the design of the solution/strategy for a client\xe2\x80\x99s request in collaboration with global Comparator team including the issuance of a proposal.
  • Manages client expectations by involving other personnel such as Client Services, Package Design, Engineering, IT and/or Operations in order to build a horizontally integrated relationship that capitalizes on the technical talent and knowledge base within Clinical Trial Division.
  • Drives adherence and improvement in key processes such as quoting, pricing and customer onboarding.
  • Coordinate local 4-blocker approvals with finance for timely approval and issuance of the proposal.
  • Support and facilitate specific Comparator client contracts, CDA\xe2\x80\x99s, MSA\xe2\x80\x99s and Technical Agreements
  • Develops contingency strategies that allow for proactive plans to address industry headwinds.
  • Sourcing
  • Generate new sourcing channels and suppliers in India for comparator local and central sourcing to have access to market information and competitive price
  • Develops comparator sourcing strategies that differentiate us from competitors to enable growth and margin expansion
  • Develops contingency sourcing strategies for the service line that allow for proactive plans to address industry headwinds, generate cash for service line investments and continuously expand margins.
  • Maintain good and long-standing Comparator suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 relationship
  • Management (if applicable)
  • Develops a high performing, engaged, accountable local team and proactively manages talent pipeline to address future and changing business needs
  • Leads direct or indirect a team of Comparator professionals to deliver unparalleled solutions to our customers
  • Leads and advocates a culture of process improvement by embracing continuous improvement through PPI

  • Others
  • Present at local trade shows / exhibitions, workshops and seminars
  • Participates in India sales and marketing activities such as customer and/or study kickoffs/QBRs, teleconferences, customer visits, white papers, \xe2\x80\xa6
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis reporting for the region on clients\xe2\x80\x99 pipelines
  • Apply GxP in all areas of responsibility

  • Qualifications and Knowledge:
  • Master\'s degree in Pharmaceutical
  • Understanding of drug clinical development process and associated framework, eg regulatory requirements or clinical trial supply chain
  • Knowledge of commercial pharmaceutical supply chain
  • Understanding of procurement and strategic sourcing principles
  • Experience
  • 10+ Years Minimum Experience within Pharmaceutical Industry or equivalent, in comparator sourcing of advantage
  • Proven track record in commercial and customer facing role in India
  • Used to develop USP and value propositions
  • Experience in working in a large corporation and matrix organization
