Responsibilities

Strategy

  • This role will be responsible for designing and implementing a communication strategy to align with the needs of the organisation and bring efficient and effective use of the communications going out
  • This role will be key to executing PE's transformation agenda from a legacy operational function to a dynamic engineering driven function.
  • Due to transformational element, the focus of this role would pivot to focus on key areas when needed and it will be a dynamic role to fit with the dynamics of the new structure
  • Establish CCIB PE brand as a cutting-edge dynamic Engineering led organization (internally and externally)
  • Leverage communication channels to amplify impact of curated content, establish strategies to encourage uptake of the communications- are the right mediums being used, how frequent should announcements/newsletters go out- how to make it make informative?
  • Ensuring all communication is compliant with SC Branding guidelines
Business
  • This role will be solely responsible for translating change initiatives and success stories of the PE communities, SRE, PIC, Digitisation with a business context in a succinct manner- collating editing, publishing with the primary aim to keep everyone informed and engaged with changes happening, as well as, ensuring our teams' successes are celebrated and recognised.
  • Own the end-to-end process of Production Engineering award submissions, partnering with Award sponsor and SMEs: Review in detail the Award submission criteria, ensuring the Award nomination is aligned to the Awarding organization's requirements; Industrialize Award submission process (as per Award TOM); Monitor CCIB Award site for new industry awards; Engage external consultant to research upcoming industry awards and assist with curating of PE awards
  • Managing the Bridge space for Production Engineering will also be key- deciding what should go into the page and keeping it up-to-date
  • Assist the BPM to coordinate, plan agendas and manage logistics for seamless execution of townhalls and employee events in GBS locations (esp. in India where this role will be based)
  • The role will be a member of the squad of other community managers sharing best practices and continuously improving the way we communicate- assisting in running groupwide CCIB events.
Processes
  • Industrialise some of the processes so that the effort to produce the materials going INTO the newsletters and format coming OUT is standardised
  • Ensure all communications are published as per agreed schedule
  • Forward plan a rolling 6m calendar of Production Engineering Communications and Events- calendar to be published in a public space
  • Forward plan for any newsletter coming out of PE i.e. what the blogs will be 3 months in advance. Each blog to have an agreed owner
  • Given the role will require you to meet tight deadlines, the prioritisation of tasks and deliverables needs to be well handled and scheduled to avoid any misses
  • Roles and responsibilities needs to be clearly articulated to members assisting the production of any output with the communication/community manager
People & Talent
  • Increase engagement within the Production Engineering community to create a network of passionate Engineers who break down silos
  • Keep finger on pulse of community- stay connected to grass roots to understand sentiment on the ground. Highlight both positive and negative sentiment to MT with proposed solutions
  • Research and apply innovative techniques to increase PE engagement, taking into consideration flexi working arrangements
  • Responsible for coordinating the People office meetings and action items to ensure the momentum is not lost and discussion points are followed through with tangible actions
  • Create fun engaging events for virtual team meet-ups to promote employee engagement along with the other members of the business management team
  • Encourage and guide members of the wider team to improve and build on their communication style and composition of articles/stories.
  • Leverage Community Management experience to coach and mentor new ECP working groups on their journey to becoming Communities / Guilds
Risk Management
  • Proactive in monitoring and seeking regular assurance that the areas of responsibility and teams are performing to an acceptable risk and control standard.
  • Work towards the elimination of non-standard processes and systems that contributes to high operational risk.
  • Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through the relevant committees.
Governance
  • Familiarise with key policies (on delegated authorities, T&E, G&E, OBI, Block Leave, Handbook etc.) and actively manage and review process to ensure policies are adhere to.
  • Manage corporate governance matters as required
  • Ensure "housekeeping matters" are in order such as completion of mandatory team elearning, timesheets, trainings, job objectives completed etc.
  • Embed the Group's values and code of conduct in the TB T&I Team to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes, and regulations among employee's form part of the culture.
  • Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective governance, oversight and controls in Transaction Banking businesses re: Technology
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
