CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER (CATALYSTS)

POSITION SUMMARY

Reports To: Catalyst PSL Sr. Director, Houston Technology Center

Interfaces: KBR Technology PSL Teams

KBR Engineering/Project Operations Teams

KBR Sales team

KBR PEQ/Catalysts PSL Team

KBR Automation & Process Technology Team

Plant Owner's Engineering, Operations & Maintenance teams

  • Main point of contact for development and delivery of all catalysts-related technical services for clients that employ KBR's Proprietary Process Technologies.
  • Provide technical services for KBR catalysts-based technologies namely, Ammonia, Maxofin and K-COT (fluidized bed catalytic processes) and K-SAAT (fixed bed alkylation catalyst) and other similar applications.
  • Maintain strong client relationships within the customers' organization with an intent to position KBR as the preferred catalyst technical services provider.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with Catalyst PSL/Business Development teams to maximize the catalyst opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Set up client database that captures key aspects of all client interactions including past and future technical service needs.
  • Effective management of interfaces with KBR Sales, Technology PSLs, Engineering & Project Operations, Catalyst PSL, Proprietary Equipment and Modular PSL, and Automation & Process Technology (APT) teams.
  • Generate periodic catalyst performance/ optimization reports utilizing client supplied data
  • Prepare comprehensive reports covering client site visits and associated catalysts technical services delivery.
  • Comply with all the site and KBR safety & security requirements.
  • Understand and provide solutions to troubleshoot client catalyst issues.
  • Periodically share the data analysis reports highlighting areas requiring (catalyst) operations attention.
  • Help client optimize catalytic reactor performance.
  • Provide loading and start-up assistance of catalytic reactors as needed for KBR's clients. Sometimes on short notice.
  • Provide on-site optimization and troubleshooting support as needed for KBR's clients.
  • Proactively create customer success/value creation stories which can be used as references to support the process of acquiring future clients for the continued growth of KBR's Catalyst Technical Services Business.
  • Participate in the delivery of plant operations training courses on behalf of the KBR Technology Training Services Team, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors of Engineering degree specializing in Chemical Engineering awarded by a recognizable University.
  • Overall 5+ years' experience in operating and providing plant engineering related services for a world scale process facility. Experience in syngas, refinery, petrochemical facilities preferred.
  • 5+ experience in delivery of catalyst technical services in one of the major catalyst companies serving the hydrocarbon process industry preferred
  • Proven client engagement and technical services delivery experience for process technology services, engineering services, equipment and catalyst services and/or plant automation.
  • Experience specifying technical service offerings and/or process engineering services required
  • Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills; written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Need to have a flare for developing client relations with a pro-active attitude to go the extra mile to deliver quality technical services in a timely manner
  • Proficiency in English language required. Preferred knowledge of another major language such as Mandarin or Spanish
  • Willing to travel domestic and international, 50% as needed
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office computer software products required and experience with process simulation tools, process data historian preferred.
