Client Finance Lead

What's this job involves:
Duties & Responsibilities
Budgeting and Analysis
Lead all the planning cycles (Strategic Planning, Yearly Operating Plan/Budget, Quarterly Forecasts, Weekly dashboards, etc.) with utmost care, high level of accuracy and thorough understanding of the business dynamics.
Help prepare short-term/medium-term plans partnering with the business/functional leaders
Be responsible for developing reliable estimates and tracking the progress against the plans at operating cost level and share the recommended actions to manage the plan to the operations leaders.
Design and develop various financial models and come up with bold ideas.
Monitor and lead regular reviews to ensure key business metrics are met.
Accounting and Reporting
Work closely with the Accounting group and perform a deep-dive analysis into the monthly results and present the variance analysis
Analyze accrual mechanisms and guide the teams in defining robust process for accruals
Track the changes in the area of accounting, tax, and internal policies and ensure the proper implementation of the same
Develop a strong process for internal checks and reconciliations to ensure the sanity of the reports and dashboard
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Client and build and manage reporting templates based on client requirement and improvise the same in periodical manner
Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are always in place and in use.
Operational Efficiency:
Understand, review and suggest areas of improvement to drive the efficiency in terms of time, cost and efforts and to develop most effective operational and business process.
Develop performance indicators and matrix to provide insight full reports.

Education and experience
Graduate + additional educational background in Finance and Accounting
10+ years' experience in Finance Planning and analysis and General accounting
Ability to lead a team / Business unit
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
Advanced skills in MS Excel
Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
Hands on experience of leading various finance processes
A relationship builder
