Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Accounting & Finance Lead, who will help candi to lead the revolution of solar. The candidate will report directly to the Country Lead as well as the Global Head of Accounting and Finance. Given that candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and a new way of thinking.
Specifically, the job requires taking ownership of the following for the team in India:
- Team Leadership
- Lead and build a high-performing, decentral team of currently four professionals
- Mentor and develop team members and drive their career progression
- Financial Strategy, Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the group\xe2\x80\x99s business plan
- Take ownership of fundraising initiatives (in particular debt financing) and drive the funding processes
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Oversee the internal and external financial group reporting processes
- Monitor the financial performance against budget and present the insights to the Country Lead
- Treasury and Cash Management
- Manage cash flows, liquidity and working capital
- Ensure sufficient funding through internal and external corporate finance activities
- Financial Accounting, Audit and Automation
- Develop the internal accounting functions and manage the interfaces with external chartered accountants and corporate secretaries
- Lead the relationship with the external auditor and coordinate all audit processes
- Leverage digital applications to automate financing processes
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Establish, document and maintain effective internal controls and compliance mechanisms
- Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws, regulations and strategize tax efficiencies
- Manage intra-group contracts and ensure transfer pricing compliance
Location: Gurgaon / Pune / Bangalore / Mohali in a hybrid work arrangement
Hours: Full time.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in a senior financial leadership role
- A natural leader who prioritises caring for people working with her/him
- An authentic communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Understanding of complex corporate structures and business models
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory requirements
- Experience with digital automation and leveraging various software applications
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Experience in running debt financing processes (buy- or sell-side) and/or NBFC operations are a strong plus
