The Opportunity

The position is that of Lead -Direct Retail Sales in promoting the sales of premium product in multi- brand premium outlets. The position reports to the Retail Business Head.

Direct reports: - Sales Associates for each market (around 2 each for 4 southern states)

Responsibilities

This is a Junior Management position in the organisation and has responsibility for managing the Direct Retails Sales of Premium products in south India. The role demands proven ability in managing sales team planning the beat plan for the sales associates and survey he market through associates to expand the reach of direct retailing.

Some of the key areas of responsibility are as follows:

Achieving Sales Target

  • The Lead Direct Retail Sales will support the Retail Business Head in achieving the monthly sales targets in respective markets.
  • Ensures the order Fill Rate on a timely basis
  • Expand the reach of direct retail network by enrolling new retailers
  • Manage and motivate the team to deliver their metrices and Conduct Weekly reviews
Liasoning with Depot Operations
  • Project monthly demand, retailer wise & article wise to the backend operations team and ensure product availability.
  • Ensure the availability of retail finance wherever required to make sure that supplies are made on advance payment basis.
Marketing Initiatives
  • Study competition and give input for New Product Development
  • Carry out survey to expand the network and ensure availability of products in stores
  • Assess BTL requirements and fulfil the needs
  • Give inputs on formulation of schemes and roll out the schemes
Desired Skills & Experience
  • MBA (Sales & Marketing) with 3 to 5 years of experience in managing a team in consumer good sales in south Indian markets
  • Readiness to travel across markets.
  • Strong leader with good communication skills in English /Hindi & at least 2 South Indian languages,
  • Strong team orientation and ability to drive sales team
