Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operational risk management of custody middle office- processing, pre-matching, settlement & other trade related functions.
  • Perform daily risk reporting to management to highlight critical metrics
  • Consolidate large data sets / volumetrics across regions for timely reporting
  • Work with various internal teams such as trade processing, pre-matching, settlements, asset servicing, breaks reconciliation to understand key process gaps & recommend controls to mitigate the same
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries pertaining to risk team in a timely manner
  • Perform process deep dives to identify and remediate control gaps
  • Ensure all queries dealt with within required SLAs and escalate issues .
  • Maintain the highest individual and team standards for quality assurance as it relates to all investor or fund activity / changes; ensure team is 'Always Audit Ready'
  • Follow JPMorgan's established processes and procedures; Look to modify / iterate processes and procedures to continually improve accuracy, reduce redundancy, and mitigate risk
  • Perform EOD process to ensure all deliverables were met timely and accurately and that exceptions are appropriately noted.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (business discipline preferred)
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years in Financial Services industry, preferably in custody & fund services, markets or prime brokerage space
  • Work experience on tools like Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau, UiPath etc. - at least 1 BI tool
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Outlook Express (or similar email program)

  • Foundation in custody & fund services, executing broker or prime brokerage operational experience is a must
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management and should be able to assess the risks and control gaps in a process
  • Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Experience of working on multi-stream programs
  • Strategic thinking coupled with practical execution
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction / trade lifecycle in Custody and/or
  • Subject matter expertise in Equities, Fixed Income, FX,
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent
