FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:

The team is in the business of capturing, processing and validating all instructed trades for all clients in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with client SLA's and codes of best practice.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for daily management of fund accounting processing. Participates in extensive problem solving. Manages issues which are escalated by previous profile and ensures appropriate onward escalation to next levels as required. Responsible for building the right control environment and metrics to monitor and track performance delivery.

Individual at this level may be an individual contributor due to the technical nature of the role.

Manage issues/exceptions above materiality thresholds for resolution

Work with all internal and external stakeholders to meet overall business needs

Involvement and initiative in global projects impacting FS

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent experience.

5-7 years experience with pricing, corporate actions, fund accounting, security database or custody environment.

Advanced fund accounting principals and theories.

Experience with implementing process improvement methodology and/or demonstrated experience with efficiency improvement.

Ability to effectively communicate with, internal and external clients.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

In-depth knowledge and understanding of global investment markets, instruments types, fund types and accounting policies

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Control and procedure oriented

Computer literate - Word, Excel etc

Knowledge of Invest One accounting system would be beneficial but not essential

Knowledge of Custody and how it operates would be beneficial but not essential
