About Digital Markets Execution (DMET)

JPMorgan\'s e-Trading business offers automated multi-asset, macro trading services across a number of use cases, for both as corporate or retail clients. Feature rich platforms offer the ability to trade across FX, Commodities, Rates and Credit .

The business is supported by a global technology team with contributors in Houston, New York, Bournemouth, London, Mumbai, Bangalore and Singapore. The team is organized into Agile development teams supported by QA and Product Teams.



Digital Markets Execution within CIB Markets owns the digital transformation agenda across asset classes. The focus is delivery of innovative solutions to automate workflows, distribution of pricing electronically and surface client and market intelligence in order to drive revenue growth and market share for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in the management of software development processes for DMET trading/sales platforms. Specifically, you will:

  • Be the subject matter expert on Agile Software Delivery, guiding teams to embrace scrum ways of working
  • Guide the development team on the establishment of data driven metrics such as:
  • Definition of ready for backlog, definition of done.
  • Story point, time-based velocity charts
  • Churn to measure stories and tasks moved from sprint to sprint
  • Partner with product owner to prioritize work through backlog and manage scrum artifacts
  • Facilitating agile sprint ceremonies as appropriate, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives and backlog refinement
  • Reviewing sprint progress and ensure latest status is captured and updated as appropriate
  • Ensure teams manage work and prioritizes effectively, all team members are engaged, and all work is captured in backlog
  • Driving team members to anticipate and resolve potential blockers and ensuring impediments and blockers are removed or escalated in a timely manner
  • Understanding of key agile metrics such as sprint burndown charts, velocity charts, control charts
  • Experience of leading agile teams both onshore and offshore across global locations
  • Foster a culture of collaboration with other scrum teams and collaboratively work with other tech partner and product teams to effectively identify and track key dependencies
  • Product Delivery and Management: Manage projects against aggressive client commitments and deadlines. Ensure ordered and well documented product backlogs. Remove blockers to development progress. Manage stakeholder expectations. Assists heavily in re-planning if needed based on customer requirements.
  • Produce clear and transparent project governance and reporting processes
  • Assist Business Management in financial aspects of development.
  • Be commercial aware and mindful of costs vs benefits in everything we do.
  • The Agility lead helps build a culture of cooperation and engagement within the team through development of practices and activities that are team led and owned.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of technology landscape involved in macro-trading assets.
  • End to End business and product knowledge - including pricing, trading, settlement, accounting, payments
  • Significant experience with the agile software development framework, with a substantial experience in high pressure, time critical environments.
  • Be an effective communicator with technical audiences, able to present complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders in person and via status reports at all levels of seniority.
  • Expertise in resolving conflicting priorities. Problem solving within ambiguous and fast-paced environment with attitude to get things done
  • A thorough understanding of agile methodologies and the project manager\'s role in it including prioritization, technical and project risk assessment, estimation, project timelines, value-based change control etc.
  • Collaborative working mindset. Able to communicate with empathy and influence others broadly within our area of responsibility
  • Interacting with others with excellent people management skills, listening, motivating, observing, giving and receiving feedback helps individuals and team grow
  • Expertise, including best practices in standards methods and tools for Agile (JIRA, confluence)
  • Bachelor\'s degree (or higher) with relevant work experience in software development processes for at least 5 years.
  • Ability to work independently, own issues to resolution and be self-motivated to achieve the best results for our business partners.
