Position : Chief Operational Officer (COO)

Location : Chandigarh

Leading warehousing company in India for agriculture commodities. It aims to reduce post-harvest losses & increase food security, using scientific & efficient warehouse management systems through its own state of the art agriculture warehouses.

Company is at an inflexion point and for the next phase of rapid growth, we are seeking COO with high-energy, highly motivated, and have interpersonal and cross-functional skills to join our team.

Responsibilities:

- Closely monitoring the warehouses at all the 10 different sites in Punjab

- Handle the team of Sites Managers, who down the line are managing / covering work strength of more than 650 in numbers.

- Smooth operations of Warehouses by ensuring optimum utilisation of resources at economical cost, supplemented further by polished reports in form of MIS.

- Maintain close liaison with senior functionaries of FCI / PUNGRAIN to understand the demand for storage at one end & to ensure timely dispatches.

- Assure timely collection of rent without any deductions from FCI or its Nodal Agency.

- Maintain / ensures maintenance of proper records to substantiate compliances as per the tender document of FCI and ensure there are no losses more than the prescribed norms of FCI.

- To conduct regular inspection of the Warehouses to ensure perfect internal control from a financial aspect.

- Procurement of all supplies including chemicals for scientific storage of food grains and other accessories after understanding re-order level / Economic Order Quantity.

- Represent the Company for all interactions with Govt Bodies.

- Stay alert and update the management with the new developments in the industry

- Understand the new developments with respect to the changes arising on account of SILOS, proactively work for preparing new tenders both in conventional and SILO tenders

- Candidate, should be a seasoned player well versed with warehousing business with minimum experience 10-15 years, Prior warehousing handling experience is a must
