We are hiring a highly dedicated Chemist who will be managing all production operational activities at our Medical Device sector.

What will your role be?

  • Direct and supervise production personnel to ensure correct, accurate and timely completion of production and delivery schedules within standard cost budgets
  • Monitor employees for conformance to good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and serve as mentor/coach to operators to instil a sense of engagement and ownership of the process/product
  • Ensure that production personnel are trained in area where they are working and consistently adhere to approved standard operating procedures
  • Review and approve production records such as work order, line clearance etc. to ensure that device history records are complete and correct
  • Monitor the product, process and equipment to ensure that product quality, process efficiency, labour utilization and material usage meets or exceed manufacturing targets
  • Analyse and resolve work problems or assist employees in solving work problems.
  • Ensure the inventory in production location is correct and accurate physically or logically
  • Attend to any other job as assigned by superior and complete the assignment given within the agreed time frame.
What do you need to have to be successful in this role?
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ working experience, preferably in Medical Device industry.
  • Preferably candidate with good knowledge of ISO13485 and GMP
  • Have similar experience working in cleanroom environment.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision
  • Integrity, resourceful with good supervisory and team management skills
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and adhere to production processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu
  • Computer literate
