You will join our Rail team

As our new Catenary Engineer/ OH Engineer/ OL Engineer you will be part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be

a~ Carry out Catenary/ Overhead Electrification line designs and provision of technical support throughout to support all stages of design

a~ Independently deliver / manage the production of design deliverables in accordance with client requirements

a~ Review the work of less experience engineers and CAD technicians in the team and maintaining quality of deliverables,

a~ Overseeing and guide the CAD and Jr engineers in carrying out the design and preparation of the drawings.

a~ Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate apply best practice within the team environment.

a~ Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

a~ Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

a~ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

We are looking for self-motivated team members who meet the following requirements:

a~ BE/B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from an institute of repute. ME/ M. Tech would be desirable

a~ Should have 5-8 years of experience in design of Catenary masts, cantilevers, spacings, wire tensions, etc.

a~ Rail and Catenary design domain knowledge and well conversant of Indian rail design codes and other international standards would be desirable. Good knowledge in mechanics and mathematics is desirable.

a~ Have hands on experience in using PROL/ Open Rail, Promis.e, BARTRAD, TRV software

a~ Should have solid knowledge of tools like AutoCAD/ MicroStation and preparing drawings in accordance with internationally recognized standard formats. Conversant with Projectwise will be an advantage.

a~ Understanding of multi-discipline railway design interfaces

a~ Have technical / functional acumen, he should have good communication skills and should be able to present their work.

a~ Should be a good team member, self-motivated and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project

a~ Good communication skills (English language skills in written and verbal) and the ability to work within a small team whilst having a dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict project deadlines
