Job Title: Category Manager - Powertrain

Note:- The title and Designation may vary depending upon the internal parity and company standards.!

/ Mission

• Develop strategic plan to manage supply base for assigned commodities and to achieve goals of Availability, Branding and Cost Reduction.
• Reduce COGS by utilizing technical knowledge to identify and propose design modifications and/or substitute materials. Drive Private Branding.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key suppliers to provide a stable product supply, year-over-year cost reduction and reduce contractual lead times.
• Analyse and improve supplier performance, capacity, lead time, and forecast; initiate changes as required.
• Research, evaluate and develop potential domestic and international suppliers (technically and financially) to meet Epiroc\'s needs.
• Consolidate supply base to best performing suppliers.
• As required, participate in teams for new product development, inventory reduction, process improvement, etc.
• Initiate and complete administrative requirements such as generating RFQs and RFPs, writing engineering change requests, loading quotations, etc. as required.
• Secure that the supplier base fulfils corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of Epiroc.
• Global Sourcing and Best Cost Country Sourcing activities.
• You will be expected to work with other global sourcing teams within Epiroc to consolidate spend and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO). Support Global Sourcing Council initiatives.

Experience requirements

• 12-15 years in Powertrain Category Supplier Handling & Parts development

Knowledge

• Technical knowledge of Powertrain Category parts used in Mobile Hydraulic rigs is preferred
• Structured and process knowledge
• Position requires strong communication skills to negotiate with suppliers, work effectively with global team members, and present performance results to upper management.
• Must possess exceptional integrity to handle supplier relationships objectively and to maintain confidentiality of shared information while dealing with competitive suppliers.
• ERP analytic experience (M3 or other - Business Intelligence (Power BI) reports)
• Goal oriented
• Problem solver- find other solution

Educational requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Production field
