Job Description

Carpenters are required to be enthusiastic and experienced in working on high-end
refurbishment and alteration projects, with expertise in all aspects of Carpentry, including trussed
roof, floor joists, 1st/2nd fix carpentry. and weatherboarding.
Good knowledge of construction across all phases of building to work in conjunction with
other trades that may be present, and exceptional attention to detail.
Opportunity to earn a minimum salary of 25,600.00 per year.
Responsibilities:
i, Taking measurements and preparing the site for woodwork
i, Preparing drawings for cabinetry, framing and other construction projects onsite
i, Designing and installing fitted wooden shelves, cabinets and drywall
i, Installing fixtures and fittings such as handles, locks and hinges
i, Select and evaluate materials for potential defects
i, Reading and interpreting designs to meet specifications set by Architects
i, Liaising with clients, suppliers and other tradesmen
i, Following all standards for kitchens and bathrooms in remodelling projects
i, Sourcing timber by size, strength and budget for woodworking or joinery projects
i, Assessing and reviewing additional carpentry or joinery refurbishments
i, Performing finish carpentry, including siding, flooring and built-ins
Skills:
i, Must have at least 3 years of proven Carpentry experience
i, Experience in managing site activities, material orders and running works to a defined
programme of work is desirable.
i, Holder of a valid CSCS card is preferable.
i, Excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail.
i, Excellent planning, organisation and management skills are essential.
i, Good technical knowledge and competence to read and understand technical drawings and
schedules of works.
