Marsh & Mclennan Global services - GuY Carpenter Guy Carpenter is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mumbai office:
Analyst – CAT Modeling What can you expect?

• A data-intensive position, which requires you to help clients better, understand their overall exposure to catastrophe risk and allow them to plan accordingly.
• Build expertise in analysing client exposure data and applying it against catastrophe models such as RMS/AIR/RQE. Have the ability to produce loss estimates that enable brokers to construct effective reinsurance programs for clients.
• The role will support GC Catastrophe Modeling teams globally.

Future career opportunities across a global organisation We will count on you to:

• Understand the exposure data, assess data quality, make necessary improvements (incl. geocoding) and assumptions for modeling in RMS/AIR/RQE and maintain adequate documentation.
• Apply policy conditions to the data and produce reports that highlight changes in exposure across various timeframes and the associated impact of catastrophe model results.
• Run the exposure in various Cat Modelling models and reporting the results at various geographical resolutions as well as for the relevant lines of business within the client's portfolio.
• To interpret the change in loss results due to modelling parameters and client exposure change
• Analyse how the distribution of results and relevant risk measures change due to the application of various proposed reinsurance alternatives and/or changes in model/data assumptions.

What you need to have:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Catastrophe Modeling in providing CAT analytics at account or portfolio level
• Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer-Science/Engineering (any stream) or related fields
• Proficiency in at least one of the CAT Modeling software’s RMS/ AIR/ RQE
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Attention to details. Ability to understand and manipulate data quickly and creatively.

• Data Science skills in particular Data Visualization and/or Machine Learning techniques that can help enhance quality of analytics
