Job Title : CAD ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN Senior Engineering Technician (CAD/Modelling) - New Delhi Purpose of role: Functions in a senior level engineering technician capacity. With minimal supervision, performs advanced functions requiring knowledge and use of CAD applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. May provide technical guidance and direction to other engineering professionals including delegation of work assignments. Responsibilities include : The Senior Engineering Technician will be responsible to the project teams for preparing construction drawings/models for all aspects of water and wastewater project schemes They will be part of an established integrated team and be involved in the conception to completion of each project. They will be able to source and suggest details of potential solutions using typical products available in the trade to complement the designs developed by the engineering teams and highlight where there could be health & safety or buildability issue. They will have experience and knowledge of model co-ordination and federation and knowledge/experience of 4D construction rehearsals. They will have key relationships with the Project leads and Project teams Person specification : The role is suitable for technically strong, commercially aware candidates with a background in Civil Engineering in the water industry or other closely related industries. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge: 3D modelling skills, qualifications and experience Understanding and experience of BIM coordination, clash detection and model federation Broad experience in the use and application of common engineering software and IT Working and theoretical understanding of 3D modelling standards and QA processes Self-starter, curious and inquiring nature with key interest in the detail of how civil structures come together. Team player with effective communication skills. Good written and oral communication. College certificate or diploma (or a relevant qualification) in Civil Engineering or similar Experience of Autodesk products including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Navisworks. Ability to understand engineering principals and design in order to produce technical drawings or models Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines while managing own time An appreciation of BS 1192:2007/PAS 1192-2:2013 and ISO 19650 processes and principles
