BUSINESS UNIT DIRECTOR ONCOLOGY, BMS INDIA Role Summary Lead and inspire the oncology sales and marketing team by setting a compelling vision that is aligned to the overall business strategy. Ensure cross functional collaboration to deliver on strategy and key tactics. Serve on the Operating Committee for BMS India and ensure all commercial (sales and marketing) activities meet the compliance and ethical standards set forth by the company. This role reports directly into the General Manager of India. Key Responsibilities Oversee and supervise Sales and Marketing team Develop and implement oncology business strategy and translate strategy into actions to create competitive advantage in the marketplace Analyze and translate trends, threats, and opportunities in the marketplace in terms of short-term long-term business implications. Prepare forecast and P&L analysis of oncology products to support the development of the local strategy. Allocate resources across the business unit to maximize sales, market share and business objectives. Work closely with medical team to develop strategies and programs that support the needs of the business. Collaborate with the key account/public market and market access to maximize opportunities in the key account business. Collaborate with leadership on pricing recommendations, approvals and execution. Initiate, build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders/customers (e.g., HCPs, Distributors as applicable), Provide inputs into Regulatory and market access strategies to ensure consistent and innovative approach. Champion annual brand planning to optimize sales, market shares and profit margin. Track local economic, market and industry trends and use appropriate information to maximize opportunities and minimize risk exposure. Relentlessly maintain and develop a compelling culture of compliance. Demonstrate business ethics and judgment to enforce internal controls to comply with the laws, regulations and BMS standards of business conduct and ethics. Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree or Higher in Science/Technology Post Grade Qualification in Management Languages Strong command of English and Hindi required. Experience And Knowledge 15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience within competitive therapeutic field (oncology experience w/ innovative portfolio is preferred) 3-5 years\' solid experience of leading a sizable business w/ P&L responsibility. 5+ Years\' leadership experience/exposure w/ mid-sized teams w/ direct/indirect reports Demonstrated expertise in core marketing principles and experience of developing and implementing innovative strategic and tactical marketing plans that led to breakthrough business results. Demonstrated solid experience of sales leadership, sales management, sales force effectiveness and efficiency. Demonstrated track record of success in launching and commercializing highly visible strategic product(s) with high integrity while focusing on execution. In-depth understanding of local issues relative to the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare environment and competitive forces Exceptional candor in communicating and presenting to senior management with the ability to influence decisions. Experience in effectively direct management and development of a specialized team of professionals Ability to lead / collaborate w/ cross-functional teams. Effective strong presentation skills with the ability to create energy and excitement. Knowledge and understanding of pricing & reimbursement, regulatory affairs, market access. Expertise in financial principles and how to manage budgets, control expenses and manage product performance to drive a sustainable profitable growth.
