SUMMARY OF POSITION OBJECTIVES:

• 
  To lead the new food lab project in west region and contribute to Eurofins India Food & Feed testing business target to achieve > 1.5 Billion INR in the next 3 years. Exceed business expansion and profitability goals.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

• 
  Overall responsibility for achieving KPIs in Net Sales, InterCo business, Revenues, Volume, Sectoral presence, Customer Service, Client Loyalty and Profitability for the food testing business in western region.
• Brand establishment and promotion in B2B space through Contacts, Customer Service initiatives, Presentations and Knowledge sharing.
• Develop an exciting vision and strategy to develop the Food Mumbai Business unit and to retain leadership position and expand further in western region. Translate the strategy into action plans with clear-cut responsibilities.
• Expand the portfolio of food related tests performed in Mumbai laboratory, according to both the local regulations and international standards, leveraging Eurofins technical expertise in other countries.
• Establish superior relationships with regulatory bodies in food & environment domain and gain insights on new upcoming regulations for business strategies.
• Deploy enormous energy to find, hire, develop and retain a team of high-performing, high-potential individuals and leaders; raise the performance bar with every hire. Make sure high performers enjoy and contribute to their best.
• Collaborate with Bangalore & Gurgram Food lab business unit team to build on their existing customers.
• Never stop improving operations quality, TAT and efficiency and make good use of IT, lean manufacturing techniques, benchmarking with other Eurofins laboratories, exchange of best practices with group companies.
• Know the financial performance of the business (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash-Flow) at a granular level. Relentlessly explore ways to improve profitability and cash generation to exceed best industry standards in all activities. Quickly become hands-on if things derail and implement decisions fast and effectively. Stay connected to details and dive deep in the business when needed: no task is below you. Be very cost conscious and spend the Company’s resources frugally like your own.
• Establish superior relationships with food & environment target customers so that you quickly become their preferred supplier for testing services. Work with passion to exceed customer expectations and earn their trust. Make sure that cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins laboratories in Europe are being developed.
• Initiate and drive change. Spot opportunities quickly and come up with alternatives, creative solutions to unmet needs, problems and demands. Provide or seek financial support for high-impact ideas. Form a culture that supports change and innovation.
• Manage the administration of the business (legal entities, government authorisation, etc.), with support from the Shared Service Center in India
• Lead according to Eurofins Leadership Charter and act as a role model for leadership and staff. Eurofins leadership principles give a very large degree of autonomy to each Business General Manager (within agreed upon financial and operational performance measures).
• Develop an exciting vision and strategy to develop & expand food & environment Business. Translate your strategy into action plans with clear-cut responsibilities.
• Keep abreast of macro-trends in the TIC market and Identify new opportunities for services based on these trends.

• Build a business case around these opportinities, get the same approved by the board and successfully implement the business plan.
• The Eurofins story is a mix of organic and inorganic growth. Opportunities for inorganic growth to enter new segments, or build scale and market share in existing areas, need to be continuously explored and developed.
• Closely collaborate with other Eurofins sites, to imbibe best practices and technologies to specifically address one or more of the goals of scope, capacity, cost, efficiency, marketing edge

PREFERRED PROFILE:

• Technical ability:

o Good knowledge of food testing market o Proven Management experience o Strong financial skills o Good networking capabilities

• Educational Qualifications: PhD or Masters degree in food chemistry, analytical science, food technology or related science. Post graguate management degree is preferred. A technocommerical background or an understanding of food testing business, specifically the residues & contaminants testing would be essential.
• Experience: The candidate should either have a successful track record of managing a laboratory in food testing domain and having the capabilities of managing a P & L or The candidate should have min 17+ years of experience in leading a B2B sales team in a TIC services business at a Regional or at a National Level with a sound track record of growth.
• Achieved comparable results:

o Started-up or grew profitable businesses to significant levels o Recruited strong teams o Managed high sample test volume
