Embedded in the Operations unit of the company, the Business Process Excellence (BPE) team is one of the key enablers of this ambition through an enterprise-wide initiative to strengthen and position Novartis as a process-driven company.

This is a Lead role within the Center of Excellence of BPE, responsible for driving value to Novartis through building and driving standards, method and culture across enterprise. Role would include creating awareness through trainings, roadshows to enable BPE & other teams on this concept.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Developing Standards, Methods & delivery support:

• Develop, enhance the standards and method of Process mapping.
• Identify & incorporate the leading practices like BPMN in Novartis.
• Build process mapping capabilities in the business units through the BPE driven projects.
• Lead BPE associates and act as coach of new / existing team members.
• Guide teams in creating end-to-end process mapping initiatives and to integrate the processes with each other.
• Hands-on experience in personalizing and customizing the process mapping tool to match the specific needs and preferences of the organization.
• Facilitate and drive the culture of continuous improvement using Process mapping techniques.
• Build value driven approaches (KPIs definition, business case calculations, value realization approaches) and Data topics (Big Data, Data Mapping, and Process Mapping)

Project Delivery & Mentoring through strong collaboration:

• Support GPOs and GSOs to optimize and evolve their activities,
• Work along with IT teams on the deployments and enhancements of process mapping tools
• Build & main the mapping repository.
• Organize and lead onsite customer workshops.

Process Mapping Governance:

• Oversee management of a project through regular status reporting and stakeholder management
• Report progress against objectives and KPIs to the governance board regularly
• Manage risks and issues at the appropriate level.
• Lead stereo meetings with various business units on regular basis.
• Be the go-to person for BPE advice at project level for Adonis.

Minimum requirements
Minimum requirements: What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring to the role:

Essential:

• University degree. Further education and experience in Senior manager level experience in a consulting organization. 12 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience leading significant business process, organizational change, operating model and/or process improvement consulting projects.
• Knowledge of Process Mapping tools (preferably Adonis or similar tools)
• Minimum 2 years on hands on experience in leading process mapping across large business enterprise. Must have worked in consulting teams in an equivalent internal consulting organization or a major consulting company.
• Experience of regulated environments, particularly the impact in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in the area of capability development or learning is a distinct advantage. Proven experience of working successfully in a collaborative team environment across different cultures, operating with and influencing others to achieve a common objective. Lead functional-technical discussions and deliver value-driven, business-oriented solutions.

Desirable requirements:

• Shared services, outsourcing, global sourcing, Lean & Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt). Project management, change management, agile.
• P&L management in a consulting business. Proficiency in Lean, quality management systems and operational excellence. Ability to lead a strong global team with an inspired, curious, unbossed and self-aware approach.
