Role And Responsibilities As the Business Unit Head, you will be responsible for leading and managing a business unit within our organization. Your main duties include: Developing and implementing a strategic plan that aligns with the company\'s objectives and meets customer needs. Building and nurturing a high-performing team, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment. Staying updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to inform your team\'s direction and strategy. Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to create and execute effective promotional strategies. Monitoring the financial health of your business unit, including budget oversight and tracking revenue and expenses. Leading and motivating your team to achieve targets and deliver exceptional results. Candidate Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Master\'s degree or MBA preferred. A minimum of 12-16 years of experience in product or category management. Previous experience in the publishing industry is a plus. Proven track record in successfully managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle. Strong understanding of the educational publishing landscape and the specific needs of the assigned category. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and unite teams. Effective communication skills to convey the vision and direction. Analytical mindset with proficiency in market analysis and financial management.
