About Businessline/Function :

Brokerage and Transaction Fees Management Team are responsible for:

  • Commercial management of transaction cost base for Fixed Income, Equities and Commodities businesses.
  • The relationship (and risk) management of interdealer brokers (to ensure these are in good standing).
  • Management reporting of fees and 3rd party relationships to Front Office management and heads of desk.
  • Operation of controls and systems that ensure correct application of contracts and fees.

Position Purpose

Provide a brief description of the overall purpose of the position, why this position exists and how it will contribute in achieving the team's goal.

The role is to assist the Brokerage Buyers and Senior Procurement Manager Brokerage based in London completing a number of operational tasks and process checks. This role supports the management of Brokerage and (Trading) Transactional fees for CIB Global Markets globally working directly with the UK Procurement Brokerage team.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities
  • Manage the Requests Process using the MAOS tool. Validate the request step against required information received by Business or Broker. Interact with MAOS team on request actions as directed by Brokerage Buyers. Ensure MAOS activities reflect current status.
  • Complete Invoicing Queries queries/checks as raised by the Back Office Invoicing Functions including validating rates vs query. Raise awareness to Brokerage Buyers for any missing rates requiring negotiation. Update the referential IBIS rates tool as directed by Brokerage Buyers. Ensure all rate entries have a corresponding rate card uploaded into the IBIS system.
  • Assist in KYC Recertification actions. Check Broker activity and status for KYC recertification to proceed. Provide rate cards and Broker contacts for Client Management Due Diligence Activities on KYC recertification and deactivation as directed.
  • Assist in the financial report information and data gathering from the Back Offices globally. Run financial reports from internal systems to build the cost reporting data. Work with the Brokerage Buyers to create the financial reports.
Contributing Responsibilities

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
  • 3-5 years' experience working in Sourcing & Procurement domain or Operations function
  • Financial Services / Capital Markets experience / some knowledge of fixed income, equities and commodities products.
  • Operational or administrative background with experience of research and invoice queries.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, manage multiple undertakings at the same time and focus on priorities
  • Experience working successfully in a multicultural environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • English required
Specific Qualifications (if required)

A minimum graduation degree

Finance post-graduation will be an additional advantage
