Job Description


Roles and Responsibility
Strategy

  • Lead and implement the OMF vision, strategy, and technology solution for Mutual Funds systems; driving change on transformation agenda and support the overall architecture strategy.
  • Work with Managed Investment Hive lead & Tech Hive Lead to derive client focused technology roadmap and capabilities
  • Work in collaboration with Managed Investment business by ensuring the delivery agenda is well executed within allocated investment funding to achieve the business outcome.
  • Lead and manage the delivery agenda with client centric approach to delivery business values.
  • Work with PO and other stakeholders to derive delivery strategy that is aligned with the overall Wealth Management business strategy.
Business
  • Deliver Mutual Funds system capabilities with modernized technology and quicker time to market.
  • Deliver program benefits on time and within budget whilst adhering to organizational quality standards
  • Develop and maintain an integrated portfolio plan with effective change management discipline
  • Manage the dependencies, risk, and issue across project initiatives with workable resolution to deliver target capabilities.
Processes
  • Provide inputs, support and automates process or operating model to constantly identify opportunities on simplification and delivery efficiency.
  • Develop opportunities for process standardization and efficiency across wealth delivery portfolio
People & Talent
  • As development engineer and work with squads to ensure successful project delivery
  • Cultivate leadership mindset and create high performance teams the demonstrate SCB\xe2\x80\x99s core values.
  • Coach and mentor team members on learning, career development
Risk Management
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risk that would impact the overall portfolio success, driving discussion with stakeholders with agreed mitigation and action plans.
  • Support organization transition and define right operation model for team to deliver outcome; whilst operating on changing environments.
Governance
  • Work with development teams and 2nd line of defense teams to ensure portfolio governance are well managed.
  • Ensure conduct values, practices are strictly adhered to by teams (eLearning completion, DLP prevention etc.)
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Advisory and Management Investment team Teams achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.] *
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10 or more years of experience with Java/J2EE development
  • 2 or more years of experience with Angular/AngularJS/ReactJS
  • Experience using frameworks such as SpringBoot/WebFlux for microservices development
  • 2 or more years of experience of Cloud environments (Such as Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • 5 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of software solutions
  • 2 or more years of experience with full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
  • 5 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. RDBMS and NoSQL databases)
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  • Experience working with testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Knowledge and experience of SCM and CI tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins and Maven
  • Experience with middleware/messaging technologies such as MQ,JMS,Kafka,etc and exposure to event driven design patterns.
  • Experience with distributed caches such as GemFire,ehCache, Hazelcast etc
  • Ability to drive the solution end to end guide the team where necessary.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder\xe2\x80\x99s expectation
