Role Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY* Partner with Regional Property finance lead to define and execute strategy, establish a strong financial performance & control framework, and provide independent inputs on business trends, forecasts and any other aspects. Assist Regional Property finance lead in engagement with Regional Property SME\xe2\x80\x99s and Regional / Country Finance teams in driving Property strategy. Accountable for monitoring the full scope of Property Finance activities to be managed out of GFS locations (Chennai / Bangalore), including but not limited to accounting operations, financial control, reporting, property recharges, planning and analytical support for the Global Property Finance Function in coordination with the respective teams like R2R, Webcore, FP&A and Group Planning. Partner Services Recharges Team to implement the new property recharges process. Partner Property, Functions Finance, and various GFS workstreams to drive and implement Change Agenda for Property Finance activities including process simplifications, quality improvements, data analytics and new systems (SAP etc). RESPONSIBILITIES* Strategy*

  • Manage monthly Property cost and its accurate reporting, Identify anomalies and ensure resolutions
  • Monthly monitoring of Property cost and liaise with countries to understand the gaps b/w the actual booking and Budget.
  • Support Regional AME & EA leads with management of end to end reporting of Property Finance function.
  • Provide inputs for cost flash on a monthly basis as well as the outlook for the AME and EA Property costs
  • Liaise with Country Finance on monthly basis to ensure the Property cost bookings are in line with Group chart of accounts.
  • Act as a champion and advocate for standardisation & optimisation within the broader finance organisation.
Business*
  • Provide timely, accurate, complete, relevant, and value-added information on AME & EA cost
  • Proactively flag risk/opportunities on financial performance to help business take mitigating actions to achieve targets
  • Provide guidance, coordination and support during forecasting, budgeting and monthly flash/reporting cycles for AME & EA region.
  • Prepare presentations and other communications for key internal stakeholders
  • Analyse monthly recharge cost per Business, Support functions and Central Items against their budgets and key monthly movements.
  • Build strong relationships with key delivery partners and ensure efficiencies and synergies are realised across the remit of areas impacted by the delivery.
  • Act as a Business Partner within the Plan to Perform and Global Financial Services organisation, actively contribute to the development of the broader strategic agenda of the GFS
Processes*
  • Ensure a clear end to end understanding & documentation of property finance process.
  • Design and establish the target state reporting & planning processes that will drive standard outcomes by integrating group, regional and country expectations.
  • Build a culture of continuous process improvement, standardisation of procedures, and implementation of a robust control framework to optimise current state.
  • Support Property Supply Partner to ensuring accurate input into e-procurement for resulting payments to ledger, provide understanding of cost centre structure and impact for incorrect set up
  • Regional cost centre maintenance and FLA set up (PeopleSoft GOLF)
  • Monthly accrual & pre-payment preparation, inclusive of journal preparation
  • Preparation of monthly expense journals, as required to ensure costs are booked as expected, inclusive of processing monthly pass-through recharges back to the business for central services, i.e courier, taxi & catering costs
  • Support Property Supply Partner with RPF financials to ensure correct classification of costs, ahead of RPF review by Regional Leads at the regular forum
  • Management of Property WIP accounts to ensure timely capitalisation of costs, working in conjunction with Property Small & Minor Works PM and PMO for investment over $1m
  • Quarterly balance sheet substantiation process for Property accounts.
  • Liaise with Regional Property Workplace & Country Heads of Property in relation to annual reinstatement provision reviews
  • Support Property AM to ensure timely and accurate lease and rental updates to GPMS to ensure correct flow through to SAP CLM for IFRS16 accounting
  • Support PM/QS with the completion of monthly investment cost upload to Clarity (Planview when new system is launched) and review and understanding of Project numbers in relation to country forecast
  • Review and manage country GL to ensure accurate cost reporting, accruals and outlook & track invoice payments
  • Validation of WebCore recharge
  • Collection & analysing of data for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ad hoc requests

  • Establish a trusted advisor relationship with the Property, Functions Finance and teams getting impacted with Property Costs and Recharges.
Risk Management*
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate operational risk controls are in place within all relevant processes, in line with Group Finance policies and procedures
Governance *
  • Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests.
  • Adhere to bank / regulatory policies governing data quality and controls.
Regulatory & Business Conduct *

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree Holder / Professionally Qualified with Finance & Accounting as major skill or competency
