Job Role

This is a role within Plan to Perform (P2P) FP & A Reporting and Analytics team, based in India. The team is responsible for delivery of end-to-end insightful analytics, across actuals, forecasting and planning for Group Financials including P & L, Balance Sheet, Risk Weighted Assets (RWAs), Franchise EVA and Net Interest Margin (NIM).

The role will be key enabler to deliver the change to the new Enhanced-F reporting, including engagement in transition of existing processes and policies as well as contribute in building the foundation of the new strategic planning tool for the above areas.

The role suits an individual who will conceptualise, problem solve and think laterally to manage dynamic and unique issues. A seasoned professional who has the commercial understanding of Standard Chartered Bank\xe2\x80\x99s businesses and the interaction across various financial drivers (P & L, B / S, RWA), to facilitate various modelling and scenario analysis within the delivery of the Strategic Enhanced-F planning and forecasting agenda.

  • Support the transition of the Strategic Plan build to driver-based modelling through the new Strategic Planning Tool and drive the GFP & A requirements within the build of the modelling capability.
  • Extend that requirement to drive the capability build into the in-year forecasting.
  • Participate in the design, development and implementation of the driver-based modelling capability, including documenting of requirements.
  • Support the execution of the Plan and Forecasting process / outcome reporting.
  • Build and report various scenario analysis through available tools, including excel and the strategic tool, to support key decision making by senior management.
  • Digitisation / transition from EUCs to CRD.
  • Exercise right level of diligence, quality control and governance on the transition.
  • Support BAU team on query resolution on new system and aid parallel run of all key reports.
  • Train BAU team on reporting and system changes.
  • Scope and document the business requirements (existing and future) for modelling and reporting and ensure project delivery is aligned; own and maintain documentation post build.
As part of transition, conduct an independent process review, working with BAU process owners to ensure all controls and governance framework around EUC\xe2\x80\x99s, ARIS maps, DOI\xe2\x80\x99s, KRI / KCS checks are built.

There will be an implicit responsibility to develop the junior members of the team and extended India teams.

Our Ideal Candidate

An experienced finance professional with relevant experience in Banking / Financial Services industry, with an understanding of the Bank\'s business and performance drivers.
  • Experience of managing Change projects or performed business analyst PMO type roles.
  • A strong understanding of systems like Hyperion, SAP, BPC, SAC, Tableau, Dataiku (or any combination thereof).
  • Detail oriented with the ability to draw out key messages for presenting to senior management.
  • A resilient and confident self-starter, enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a problem-solving mindset / approach.
  • Team player, in a fast paced and dynamic environment, often high pressured.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Senior stakeholder management.
