WPP IT is undergoing a significant transformation to modernise ways of working, shift to cloud and micro-service-based architectures, drive automation, digitise colleague and client experiences and deliver insight from WPP's petabytes of data. This role will be working with the QA Transformers team, which is responsible for managing the implementation and usage of our technical test tools, as well as supporting technical testing approaches within the wider QA, Test & Release team. You will provide technical as well as best practice support for all areas of test automation to the business. Reporting to the Senior Automation QA Engineer within the Global QA Hub.
What you'll be doing:

• Effectively leveraging, maintaining and helping to continuously improve the global testing tool set
• Supporting the implementation and usage of DevOps tooling to improve quality
• Supporting teams on migrating existing test automation assets to our new frameworks, as well as creating initial automation packs to accelerate the implementation of automation on new platforms
• Assisting QA leads to discuss and highlight automation and technical QA considerations early in design phases
• Adhere to best practise design and automation testing within the wider QA, Test & Release team, as well as the associated applications which are supported
• Challenge existing ways of working and develop innovative solutions to support our 'Shift Left' approach
• Prompt escalation of issues in a digestible form (to both Business & Technical teams)
• Adhere to established Best Test Practices and be prompt enough in suggesting improvement opportunities
• Ensure that reporting and communication of plans, progress and issues is delivered in a timely and effective manner.

What you'll need:

• Proven Experience of maintaining Test Automation frameworks for multi-systems and programmes (e.g. Desktop, Web, Mobile, Integrations, etc…)
• Experience with integration interfaces testing and tooling
• Experience with DevOps frameworks and processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both with technical and non-technical audiences
