Provides technical support to colleagues in the area of expertise within the engineering function. Also provide visible leadership to ensure availability & performance of engineering systems in accordance to design whilst adhering to best practice, safety and compliance standards. Will represent the team in cross-functional interfaces. Typical Accountabilities

• Primary Accountabilities
  • Site wide accountability for compliance to both legislation and global AZ standards for site Electrical & Instrumentation discipline.
  • Manage Operation & maintenance, provide oversight & governance of all Electrical & Instrumentation engineering system & infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement for engineering process and systems.
  • Provide technical support / oversight / stewardship for all maintenance and operation of engineering utilities & infrastructure.
  • Accountable for ensuring that availability and performance of Electrical & Instrumentation systems are in accordance with design.
  • Drive Sustainability, Lean & Digital initiatives, performance & improvements for Electrical & Instrumentation systems.
  • Lead resource planning for discipline, including spares management.
  • Ensure proactive management of cross- functional interfaces.
  • Identifies, evaluates, recommends & selects technical options to be adopted as global standards.
  • Provides technical advice & information to other function members.
  • Leads trouble shooting activities to resolve existing problems & inform future engineering developments.
  • Assists in initiating, conducting & coordinating resource allocation & budget evaluation reviews.
  • Evaluates and monitors performance & efficiency of the systems.
  • Prepare budget , reports on adherence to key performance indicator & other management reports.
  • Ensure availability and performance of engineering systems as per design.
  • Ensure maintenance strategies are defined & implemented in order to achieve the availability of engineering systems.
  • Deliver engineering services in line with customer’s requirement / business need.

• Key Deliverables
  • Ensure annual CEIG inspection licence for the site Electrical & Instrumentation system.
  • Ensure operation & maintenance of all Power houses consisting of DGs, Transformers, Breakers, power distribution panels, ACB, Tap changer, Synchronizing panel, Capacitor panels and other electrical systems.
  • Prepare & execute preventive maintenance plan / AMC for all Electrical & Instrumentation equipment in Utilities and facilities across the site, like trouble shooting of Electrical & Instrumentation problems in AHU, Chillers, Air compressor, boiler and purified water plant with knowledge of Drive/PLC /HMI etc.
  • Manage operation and maintenance of 11 KV substations.
  • Statutory compliance for weights & measures for balances & RRSL weight calibration.
  • Ensure compliance of calibration for all instruments across the site
  • Ensure Operation & Maintenance of BMS, FMS, Fire alarm, CCTV, Access control & all related System.
  • Manage automation services for the equipment, with knowledge of PLC, drives & instrumentation controls.
  • Trouble shooting of Instrumentation components across site like PLC/HMI etc.
  • Execute Computer system validation to ensure 21CFR Part 11 compliance
  • Ensure AZ Quality management compliance.
  • Ensure requisite improvements are executed, either through Capital projects or revenue work.
  • Conduct self-inspection for Electrical & Instrumentation systems.
  • Follow the SAP system for Maintenance & Spares management of Electrical systems.
  • Prepare Master Service Agreement / Annual Maintenance Contract for Electrical & Instrumentation system & performance monitoring.
  • Prepare Criticality assessment & Risk Assessment for Electrical & Instrumentation systems.

• Leadership
  • Act as visible leader for own discipline.
  • Ensure people development and performance Development is in place for own team.
  • Ensure correct customer focus is in place for all activities undertaken by team.
  • Ensure proactive management of cross functional interfaces.

• Safety
  • Ensure safety standard are met for all aspects of work delivered by whole team.
  • Provide visible leadership in SHE for the entire engineering and facility group.

• Business engagement
  • Manage customer & business relationships.
  • Engage with the business to create professional network for own discipline across the region.

• Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance for all work undertaken by the team.
  • Ensure SOPs are updated & followed.
  • Ensure Deviation Management system is followed.

• Strategy
  • Identify and implement resource strategy for the discipline.
  • Ensure due planning and preparation is applied to all aspects of engineering delivery.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for the discipline & deliver on requisite improvement initiatives.

• Budget
  • Manage revenue budget for the discipline & deliver services within the same.

Education, Qualifications

• Qualified Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics with minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience in Good Manufacturing Practice environment
• Understanding of technical area of expertise
