Associate Director - Data Governance and Quality Global Supply Chain Digital & Technology - Data and Analytics Team This is an exciting time to join GSK Global Supply Chain. Given the increased focus on data and analytics and the need to ensure we have a comprehensive strategy that is aligned to the manufacturing, quality and supply chain business, a role of Associate Director - Data Governance & Data Quality is created. As the Leader of the Data Governance teams, you will build a team of world-class Data Quality and Data Governance professionals and lead them as to build and scale GSK's data quality and data governance solutions. Your team will work closely with business, product and operations teams to identify and implement industry leading solutions to improve data reliability and quality, providing technical leadership to the team and mentorship to other team members. You will work with executive and senior leadership across various business lines within GSK and partner with them to setup processes and technology solutions that enable data driven decisions. You will also be responsible to work with other technology groups in enabling a seamless data pipeline for measuring data quality and enabling data governance. At GSK, you will be leveraging technologies such as Talend Data Quality, Azure Databricks, Collibra, Atacama, Python, Java and/or Spark in Azure cloud environment. You will be responsible for the design, development, test, and maintenance of enterprise data quality and data governance solutions. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Define, implement, and communicate data quality and governance roadmap for Global Supply Chain business unit Design and implement technology roadmap for Data Governance and Data Quality tools and the corresponding integration with Data source and ETL systems Design Data Quality processes for Master, transactional and operational data from sourcing to analytical bed Design and implement end to end Data Governance processes for all forms of data including Data Privacy and Data Security policies and processes Enable data supply chain and data lineage for all data from source systems to analytical and reporting systems. Review the business processes and workflows needed for strengthening data management and play a major role in identifying, cleaning, and assuring the data by implementing the right tools Define and execute process controls with Dev Ops team to define key Data Quality routines that need to be instrumented as well as process-level controls where needed. Works actively with Product teams and Dev Ops to identify actions needed to meet data quality standards Establishes and maintains a data quality issues repository, and ensures that it is implemented according to standards and that all required personnel have appropriate access to it Ensure consistent and complete data monitoring and evaluation of quality against agreed standards. Ensuring compliance of data with regulations and identify training needs for all data users Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for Stakeholders to monitor data quality and governance Influence data quality strategy for a program/project explores design options to assess efficiency and impact, develop approaches to improve robustness and rigor. Be a key contributor to the planning and direction of a project and effectively prioritize goals Lead discussions at executive and senior leadership level and use quantitative skills to positively influence decision making Effectively explain technical concepts at all levels in the organization, including senior and executive managers/stakeholders Business Participation Responsibilities: Work with all verticals namely Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Engineering, Quality, MSAT. and CMC in driving Data Governance and Data Quality strategy Work with Respective manufacturing sites to understand the site-specific Data Integrity and Data Quality needs and plan the solutions Drive Data Governance Core team and Be key influencer in Data Ecosystem across business areas Be a key participant in the Data Integrity programs Desired Qualification: Overall 15-20 yrs of experience with Bachelor's in computer science, software engineering, or related field 14+ years of Data Quality and governance experience within data and analytics domain including experience in automation 10+ years of experience in leading large technical teams in data management and data engineering space 10+ years of experience in managing working groups involving various cross functional stakeholders 10+ years of experience in directly working with executive and senior leadership 10+ years progressive Data Management experience in Data Warehousing, Data Mart & Data Lake and related technologies 10+ years of experience in the data development and principles including end-to-end design patterns 10+ years of experience in designing and deploying high complex data quality and data governance solutions 5+ years of experience with Collibra as end-to-end data governance tool In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical/Vaccines industry and key business processes In-depth knowledge of data security, data privacy and quality requirements for critical data entities Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills, Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Any experience with Azure Data Platform stack: Azure Data Lake, Data Factory and Databricks Any experience with streaming technologies like Kafka, IBM MQ and EventHub Any experience with data science solutions or platforms At GSK we value diversity (Gender, LGBTQ +, PwD etc.) and treat all candidates equally.
