We are looking for experienced and dynamic Associate Director, Data Management who will be a part of the Data Management group within our constantly growing GSK R&D Polish Hub. This role is focused on expert oversight of the end-to-end data management delivery for an asset and/or group of studies and is accountable for all DS&M study deliverables in terms of quality & delivery to plan. The role manages stakeholders at the asset level, escalates risk appropriately and sets expectations with suppliers. This role mentor's other data managers, acts as a Subject Matter Expert and may include line management. Associate Director, Data Management role is located in Warsaw HUB office, where GSK can offer you the best flexible hybrid model of work – both home and office based.

Responsibilities Oversight/setting direction of end-to-end Data Strategy and Management (DS&M) for one or more assets/projects, delivered by DM Functional Service Provider (FSP) or Full Service Outsourced (FSO) studies.

  • Providing DM input at the Asset level, building and maintaining excellent professional relations with the asset and/or study teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Point of escalation for all asset level data management and data quality considerations, risks and issues for GSK and CRO stakeholders.
  • Management of vendor performance and ensuring DM deliverables are following GSK SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversight and providing inputs to the development of budgets and resource forecasts for FSP and FSO contracts
  • Acting as Subject Matter Expert, mentoring and coaching more junior members of the team.
  • Promotion of implementation of the clinical data standards to increase consistency, efficiency & productivity.
  • Leadership of the implementation of new processes, providing input on associated written standards & trainings, vendor quality assessments, audits and inspections.
  • External engagement to keep abreast of industry trends in data management.
  • Participation in recruitment and development of Data Management staff including objective setting, development feedback, coaching and regular performance review.
Why You?

What skills and expertise you will bring to the role:
  • Relevant education degree from Scientific Discipline (Biomedical or Computer).
  • Min. 6 years of data management/ clinical trials experience in Pharma, CRO and/or ARO
  • Knowledge of the principles of quality, safety, risk management and compliance (ICH and GCP).
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
  • Result-driven, proactive, detail-oriented, problem solver.
  • Line Management experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Experience of InForm, RAVE and/or Veeva EDC systems will be an advantage.
  • Experience working or managing key global preferred suppliers/ partnerships, to ensure deliverables are to the agreed standard.
  • Demonstrated discipline of project management to plan, organize and manage activities to deliver specific study goals and objectives to measurable targets.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, ability to effectively communicate and maintain strong working relationships in global teams at all levels of the organization.
