The Role Responsibilities Job Role The Group Risk Assessment (GRA) team is responsible for the execution of the CFCC Group Risk Assessment (FCC GRA), which provides a focused view of the inherent AML, Sanctions and ABC risks to which the Bank is exposed and the effectiveness of the controls that manage those risks. The role has the following key deliverables Execution Provide support in the execution of the Group Risk Assessment, specifically the Control Effectiveness Assessment. Assurance Testing and challenge of incoming controls data to determine the appropriateness of ratings. Governance Preparation of risk assessment analysis and reporting summaries. Support GRA end to end enhancements - Methodological Changes, new approaches, etc. Some of the key responsibilities include Work collaboratively with peers and senior managers within the CFCC Risk Assessment Team and Wider CFCC (2LOD) and relevant process owner within 1 LOD in order to contribute to the strategic decision-making process for the Group Risk Assessment (\'GRA\'). Strategic planning may include, but is not limited to, assessing and understanding industry practice and trends in risk assessment understanding the requirements and needs of relevant stakeholders defining the key objectives of the GRA and identifying resourcing requirements and timelines. Provide key stakeholders with guidance and direction in understanding, correctly interpreting and applying the requirements, methodological approach and assigned responsibilities relevant to the execution of the GRA. Work with key stakeholders in the First and Second Lines of Defence, participate in the assessment and challenge of the control evaluation results and outcomes from the GRA. Participate in, and contribute subject matter expertise to, the development and periodic review and revision of the methodological approach for the GRA. Work with the CFCC network and other key sources across the Group to collect the qualitative and quantitative data necessary to support the end-to-end GRA activities. Design and deliver training and awareness plans and associated materials in order to support the understanding of the Business and FCC Teams and other key stakeholders. Make recommendations to relevant stakeholders on possible risk management responses to identified risks in order to ensure the insightful, accurate and meaningful assessment of risks within the GRA. As required from time-to-time, prepare bespoke reports that highlight areas of focus, emerging Risk trends or other relevant insights based upon the analysis and outcomes of the GRA. Strategy Contribute to the execution of the CFCC GRA process team by challenging incoming information and providing insights on finalized results. Business Provide stakeholders with guidance and direction in understanding, correctly interpreting and applying the requirement and assigned responsibilities relevant to the execution of the CFCC GRA. Provide assistance in assessing and challenging the control evaluation results proposed by countries and Process owners. Processes Work with the CFCC network across the Group to assess and collect the qualitative and quantitative data necessary to support the end-to-end CFCC risk assessment activities. Assist the performance by Region, Country and Business Teams of Quality Assurance (\'QA\') for the collected data and their performance of general data management and gathering responsibilities. Design, develop and deliver materials which support users in understanding the CFCC Global Risk Assessment activities that they are required to perform, including Desk Operating Instructions, guidance papers and explanatory presentation. Creation of training and awareness plans and materials to deliver understanding and support to the Business and CFCC Teams as well as other key stakeholders. Provide advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders in compliance with the defined standards and requirements for accurate and timely execution of the CFCC RAs. Collate and input to the documentation of system requirements and oversee testing of delivered modules of system-based functionality. Contribute to the development and documentation of new processes and procedures designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness of current risk assessment processes. People and Talent Provide leadership, management and coaching to direct reports to ensure they are highly engaged and performing to their potential. Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm. Stimulate an environment where forward planning, prioritisation, deadline management and streamlined workflows and collaborative, inclusive yet effective and efficient work practices are the norm. Collaborate with training teams to input to training curriculum to support closing of capability gaps. Risk Management Be fully conversant with and correctly apply Group and CFCC Policies and Processes in order to manage risks. Make recommendations to relevant stakeholders on possible risk management responses to identified risks in order to ensure insightful, accurate and meaningful assessment of risks within the CFCC RAs. Contribute to advising relevant stakeholders of the outcomes of risks identification and assessment methodologies. Ability to understand business problems and CFCC risks, how data analytics can be used to solve these issues and generate mitigating strategies. Validate the output from analytical models created with the objective of identifying financial crime and escalate issues of concern and / or provide feedback on how models can be improved and adapted. Providing guidance to Heads of CFCC Regional Governance, CFCC Country Heads and CFCC Segment Heads on the drivers behind AML and Sanctions inherent risk in their Region / Country / Segment. Prepare bespoke Inherent Risk Reports that highlight areas of focus and emerging financial crime trends by providing insights into client, product and transactional risk. Assess risks arising from products / segments / geographies / customers / transactions. Derive Risk Insights from various assessment results and related data. Support the delivery of the annual GRA. Governance Attend and actively contribute to relevant leadership and oversight meetings. Contribute to the identification and cascade of lessons learned from execution of the CFCC RAs. Propose improvements, enhancements and simplifications to the CFCC RA processes where appropriate. Regulatory and Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct. Our Ideal Candidate 8 years of relevant work experience in financial institution or consultancy firm in Quality Assurance or Quality Control. SME knowledge in FCC (AML / Sanction) workstreams - Risk Assessment, Risk Appetite, CDD, Transaction Surveillance, Investigation, etc. Ability to provide risk insights through analytical methods is preferred. Strong communication skill oral and written communications skills. Previous internal audit experience would be an asset. Proficient in assessing control evaluation results.
