Role

• AVP (Band D) level for EXL Digital Analytics team to be based out of NCR, Bangalore, Pune.
• Role is part of the Digital Analytics team which drives insight-driven operations business
• Lead Reporting COE and Data engineering practice of Insurance transformation
• Interact with CXO’s and pitch data engineering & reporting offerings
• Be consultative in approach and pitch right tools and approach which drives maximum business value
• Design roadmap of implementation of data strategy at enterprise level, and responsible for the overall assessment of the data landscape
• Establish good data engineering components (management, governance, security, controls, DevOps, optimization) and reporting practices
• Manage delivery of the detailed business requirements, functional design, technical design, build, test, and readiness components of projects
• Manage 20+ team of BAs, developers, and them assist in platform design, code review, testing and outputs
• Stay up to date with advances in technologies and run pilots to design the data architecture to scale with the increased data volume.

Requirement

• Should have 10+ years of leading enterprise data engineering, and/ or reporting practice
• Consultative background would be ideal as workstream would be both turnkey, and engagement based
• Must have extensively worked on requirement gathering, gap analysis, conducting user workshops & SME interviews, preparing traceability matrix, business requirements (BRD) & technical Requirements
• Lead conversations with client and recommend scope boundaries to best meet business and technology objectives with given time and resources constraints
• Drive adoption of high standards of data engineering & reporting framework (Data management and infra set-up, build repeatable data pipelines, security & access control, audit, exception process orchestration & DevOps)
• Handled end-to-end Project Management, Release Management, and Development of customer-sponsored projects in offshore & onsite model
• Good communication, problem solving & interpersonal skills
• Experience with streaming & batch ETL services, System integration- API development, SQL/ PL-SQL, MongoDB databases, Alteryx, Informatica, Power BI, Tableau, AWS Redshift
• Experience in insurance industry (Finance and accounting, Underwriting, and Claims)

Technical Skills

• Possess sound knowledge of Alteryx, SQL, along with other reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Have worked on projects involving Data Engineering, System integration, APIs development etc. Experience in working with AWS-RDS/ Redshift/ Mongo DB etc.
• Understand data engineering framework
• Good to have experience in other wireframe platforms (Angular JS, .Net, PHP, HTML)
• Data base configurations, connectors, admin requirements

Process Specific Skills

• 
  Worked in Finance and Accounting division (P2P, O2C, R2R), preferably Insurance
• Understanding of project management essentials and Agile principles
• Experience in all phases of the design and development lifecycle of data platform and flow establishment
• Understanding/Delivery Experience in a Business Aligned IT scenarios
• Working experience with JIRA, ASANA, project management platforms, DevOps
