You will join our Data Change team, supporting project delivery for one of many exciting change transformations across Macquarie. We provide data solutions; facilitating effective data management through new platforms and automated system flows within our Commodities and Global Markets group. What role will you play?

In this role, you will wrangle, interpret, and analyse trading data in relation to regulatory reporting, supporting data platforms, solutions, and data modelling. Engaging with stakeholders effectively, you will identify data needs (including data quality), and data consumption use cases to capture, synthesize, and translate disparate requirements into data requirements. You will collaborate with data architects and system stakeholders to develop, maintain, and publish understandable, usable strategic data models that optimise data usage and accessibility using standardised methods across all lines of business, and effectively communicate these models to a diverse audience. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional experience in your engagement and delivery, ensuring your stakeholders are supported and their needs are well-understood.

What you offer

• Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Excellent analytical capacity supported by clear and concise communication skills
• You will be someone who thinks strategically, challenges the norm, collaborates efficiently, and has an eye for detail. You will be able to break down complex problems and offer implementable, innovative, and intuitive solutions.
• Experience interpreting and wrangling data, with experience with at least two coding languages such as python and SQL.
• Ability to embrace change, flex, and adapt to the changing needs of our dynamic business
• Understanding of end-to-end processing of data from ingestion through to reporting and analytics
• Experience using Dataiku would be a bonus, along with finance domain knowledge - particularly related to commodities, financial markets, regulatory, risk, or financial transformation
