Aerodynamic & Mechanical Powertrain Module Powertrain Transport & Const Tools Powertrain Transport, Construction & Maintenance team is a part of the Power Solutions business unit in the Vestas R&D organization. The department is accountable for delivering process and tool solutions for handling the powertrain module, sub-modules and architectural components during the transport, construction and maintenance phases of the product, as well as delivering process and tool solutions applicable to inbound transportation of components to powertrain assembly. And all of this done for both the onshore and the offshore businesses Responsibilities Design special tools & Processes for Transport/installation/service of Powertrain Collect requirements, design, verification, maintenance and operation of TCM solutions Manage full design lifecycle from requirements to serial implementation - with safety and quality, on time and on cost targets Design tools and perform structural analysis based on Eurocode Validate the solution on field Perform FMEA to identify risks and provide mitigation actions Contribute for business processes improvements and product improvements Contribute to cost reduction and improve quality through standardization, modularization and process efficiency improvements Ensure cross functional collaboration with relevant interface owners throughout the value chain Qualifications Bachelor / Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or allied disciplines Minimum 5 yrs. experience in New Product development within Heavy Engineering Industry Experience in Structural Engineering, i.e., FE analysis, analytical calculation Experience with lifting & transportation tools and processes Competencies Self-motivated and target focused Proactive and enthusiastic with good attention to detail and willingness to take ownership to achieve goals Great interpersonal skills and ability to interact with multi-cultural and diverse teams all around the globe Customer-focused and solution-oriented Effective communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing) Experience with Ansys Workbench is preferred Experience in FMEA and HSE risk assessment is preferred Experience with Creo, PDM Link and Jira is preferred Knowledge of Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma is beneficial Knowledge of wind turbine is beneficial What We Offer We offer you a exciting and demanding job with excellent professional and personal development opportunities in an inspiring, international work environment at the world\'s leading manufacturer of wind turbines Additional Information Your primary workplace will be in Chennai, India.
