To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future. Nacelle Covers is a part of the Vestas Power Solutions, and we have sites in Denmark, Porto and Chennai. The department is responsible for the design and integrity of the composite panels that cover the nacelle, protecting it from the elements Responsibilities As part of Nacelle Cover you and team will be responsible for generating creative solutions to design challenges, to fulfill the product and technology road maps. It is essential to work closely with your team and the value chain in order to deliver effectively on projects Perform design and development of composite components Develop design interfaces to other systems Perform FEA analysis and using ANSYS and able to justify the results Develop the product design and deliver in each project milestone from G1 to G5 Being technical person responsible to plan and deliver the tasks according to VESTAS way to market strategy Collaborate with stakeholders both Internal and external throughout value chain Collaborate with team and guide them and teach them on the FEA part of product value when required Responsible to guide CAD teams by describing the requirements to develop the design and work together to achieve the project milestones Be the driver of design and development of composite panel and take a lead in technical deliverables Be part of department strategic initiatives and cost out ideas generation and help department to reduce the DPC cost Cooperate with experts in other engineering disciplines, such as structures, electrical, loads and control Qualifications Master\'s degree in mechanical engineering or bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering and or equivalent. Minimum 5 to 10 years of work experience preferably within wind industry Expert knowledge in FEA Analysis, composite material behavior analysis would be an added advantage. Expert knowledge Windchill, PDM process Good understanding of ECM & change management process Experience with composite design and development background is added advantage. Knowledge in composite materials & manufacturing process Knowledge in Systems engineering & fundamentals of wind turbine design and guidelines. Good knowledge in DFMEA and having experience Competencies Have an outgoing and enthusiastic personality, able to motivate your team through constructive criticism and understanding. Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we currently use in our workflow. Have a good understanding of Engineering fundamentals and design knowledge in order to efficiently communicate with our team and stakeholders. Develop innovative solutions to the problems we face, up to and including introduction of new tools and processes into our Agile workflow. Have a solid understanding of composites panels design & development Efficiently communicate with the Engineers & technical leads. Have the patience to listen to, understand and respect your colleagues Able to create design documentations DVRE , DVPR , DVPL, Requirement specification , DFMEA Like to work with complex engineering problems and have a creative approach to new tasks Experience with windchill and Jira Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum) Project Management or business education/experience What We Offer As part of a global organization, we also offer opportunities to grow and develop, both professionally and personally.
