Work Dynamics

What this job involves:

Navigating through the gruelling demands of dining operations

Must be a team player and work with other members of the team to meet all key performance indicators as set out in the management contract.

Operational Requirements:

  • To hire all necessary personnel required to perform catering services
  • Work towards providing Food & beverage services to cater to specific needs of Shell users as per their food preferences.
  • Maintains food availability during food service hours
  • Make sure the facility, equipment and all tangibles are maintained in a hygienic way and required inventory.
  • Ensure and plan procure and manages Emergency Living supplies.
  • Develop SOW and performance standards for vendors as per shell standards are met
  • Ensure all audit requirements related to caf\xc3\xa9 operations as per shell guidelines are adhered
  • Coordinate with client in terms of menu changes from time to time
  • Coordinate for all caf\xc3\xa9 vendor related invoice and payment requirements
Safety:
  • Ensure all vendor Meet all safety requirements of Shell.
  • Aid and work with the EHS Team to provide the necessary trainings.
  • Ensure all equipment\xe2\x80\x99s, and tangibles are safe for use by the vendors
  • Ensure proper signage and warning is put up as per Shell safety standards.
  • Responsible for behavioural conformance of safety and food hygiene of the staff.
  • Ensure that all PPE required are in use and adhered to by the team.
Customer services:
  • Hire and ensure an Asst manager / Cafeteria supervisor to be available to resolve any issues.
  • Conduct monthly audit and execute the Shell agreed service delivery plan in the event of any incident.
  • Ensure all the cafe staff neatly dressed in uniforms and courteous to all Shell users.
  • Ensure to address any issues and 100 % closure and satisfaction of OVSC calls.
  • Conduct Quarterly Vendor Kitchen Audits
Compliance:
  • Ensure all staff are immunized and licensed to work in cafe.
  • Ensure that the business is licensed by all relevant government bodies.
  • Be auditable to customer agreed Business continuity plan.
  • Report compliance excursion immediately.
  • Comply with all employment regulations including work hours.
Hygiene:
  • Responsible for passing all internal and government health audits.
  • Premises within the operation area must be maintained clean and neat at all times with no visible dirt.
  • All floors must be dry and no stale water anywhere in the premises
Equipment:
  • Responsible for maintaining the Shell provided equipment\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Staff must be trained before using any equipment.
  • Responsible for complete inventory and maintaining records.
Process:
  • Responsible to own a regular audit process.
  • Shell agreed escalation, emergency and incident process to be adhered.
  • Responsible for carrying out customer satisfaction survey and close the gap if any.
Pantry and Vending Services:
  • Ensure vending services are available as agreed with Shell at BA cafes / pantry
  • Restock of all pantry consumables and meeting support for Remote Sites.
Vending Services:
  • Provide vending services at all Shell locations.
  • Attain the highest possible commission while retaining the high customer satisfaction, maintain high level of services, offer the best possible retail cost.
  • Furnish and maintain all vending machines directly or through vendors.
  • Remove all expired vending products prior to expiry date as per Shell standards.
  • Provide financial and operating reports on cafe management
Free Drinks Program:
  • Responsible to provide drinks/beverage products agreed with Shell. Shell will give due consideration to alternate products if any of the product category is not available in the market or discontinued.
  • Responsible to provide installation and repair services and will provide a regular maintenance services through the authorised vendor.
  • Perform regular quality control audit on the products.
Convenience Stores:
  • Responsible to provide convenience store service to all Shell employees, visitors and all contract employees.
  • Ensure the store is adequately staffed.
  • Work with Shell will provide space, basic fit up and utilities for the operation of the store.
  • Ensure the business is licensed and all personnel are immunized to work in the store.
  • Comply with all employment regulations as per government regulations.
Procurement:
  • Ensure monthly/adhoc purchase requests are scrutinized and Approvals obtained.
  • To ensure monthly invoices are submitted to commercial team as per agreed timelines.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES \xe2\x80\xa2 Refer for Key Performance Measures as mentioned below
  • HSE Plan implementation: Demonstrate HSE leadership in driving plan, initiatives & action with visible outcomes
  • \'Goal Zero\'- Incident prevention (No Fatalities / LSR violations. Demonstrate proactive approach on prevention of Incident, Cross-Site learning and sharing & Strong HSE Culture
  • Control of Sub-contract HSE & Statutory regulation compliance adherence at all times
  • Service quality & change/project management: Innovative delivery of value for SHELL through process implementation (MBI), Quality management and Projects with mini score card, etc.,
  • Work scheduling, execution and administration: Delivery 99% of reactive work completion within the OLA timelines
  • Completion of agreed contract management actions and review/update of the site risk assessment & controls: Review and update Hazard and Effects register
  • Cost Management and Efficiency Analysis: Execution of plan to realize mitigation of cost impacts. Analysis of monthly and YTD spend with remedial action where needed
Opportunity targeting & implementation: Realize Radical proactive cost restructuring, Proactive targeting of savings opportunities

  • Knowledge of HSSE requirements

  • Knowledge on reporting requirements for the related activities
