Food and Beverage
A food and beverage manager are responsible for the operations of a restaurant/Cafeterias. They are responsible for ensuring that all the food and beverages are of the highest quality. A few of the main duties of a food and beverage manager are designing unique menus, handling customer complaints, creating company policies, and complying with food and safety regulations. They also must prepare reports on how the Catering company is performing.
A food and beverage manager should have vast experience in the restaurant/Catering industry as well as a culinary school degree. One of the most important skills that a food and beverage manager will have is the ability to connect with customers. Another skill is problem solving as the food and beverage manager will have to be able to solve any issues that the outlets/Cafeterias encounters.
Responsibilities for Food & Beverage Manager

  • Food safety supervisor certified by FSSAI.
  • Managing all GSC Factories & Commercial sites direct operations with single point of contact (SPOC).
  • Ensures all the food production plans are following rigidly and food dispatches timely to remote sites.
  • Interacting with client to increase revenue by providing best menus for special lunch.
  • Coordinates with production team to ensure quality and quantity of food dispatching to sites on time.
  • Maintains food cost, reducing wastage and providing appropriate inputs for cost cutting.
  • Providing cross-levelling coordination and support as required to assure all menu items are available.
  • Developing a good working relationship based on responsiveness, trust, continuous improvement, and exceeding expectations.
  • Making P&L reports, MIS reports, budget forecast reports & cost analysis reports.
  • Conducting regular audit of kitchen & Approved Branded items of stores across sites.
  • Communicating regularly with staff to assess morale, potential problems and training needs.
  • Following daily indent system of rations and controlling materials, also follow up of FIFO system.
  • Conducting training for staff of food safety, personal hygiene and general safety.
Implementations:
  • Implemented daily sales report to Pan India sites, follow up the same on daily basis.
  • Implemented approved branded items to stores to maintain quality supplies from vendors.
  • Implemented Cafeteria SOP's for Factories & Sales Offices.
  • Regular interaction with regional canteen vendors for better implements and best services.
  • Implemented cafeteria inventory system for Pan India sites, sharing the same to client.
  • Handling Pan India AMC vendors to monitor uninterrupted services for kitchen equipment's.
  • Regular follow ups with vendors for SLA renewals, license renewals and staff medical renewals.
  • Supporting Regional Managers to achive cafeteria budget and providing inputs for maximum savings.
  • Implemented standard HSEQ policies to Pan India sites and following the same.
  • Making monthly cafeteria operation reviews of all sites and do the presentation.
  • Interacting to client for cafeteria budget addition by providing appropriate data for validation.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality services all the times across Pan India sites.

For every direct report, build actionable and measurable career development plans; direct report in consistent conversations regarding progress
Advances the firm's diversity and inclusion priorities by focusing on talent moves, i.e. hiring, rotation and promotion
Provides point in time coaching to elevate performance
Achieve Financial Result
Manages account financials to ensure plan is met or exceeded in both growth and profitability
Retain all current business lines and expand the book of business with the client to extend beyond existing product lines or geography
Mitigates risk for the organization by ensuring A/R is maintained below 60 days payable
Putting best practices in place
Do you like sharing ideas to improve the work process? As our Senior Manager, you'll contribute to the creation of facilities service delivery standards. You'll also help in the planning, implementation and review of site-specific processes and protocols. Teamwork should also be one of your strongest points, as you'll work with a team to ensure that all performance targets set out in the contract are being met. To do this, you'll develop tools that help measure the technical team's performance on a quarterly or annual basis.
A technical hands on expert
An ideal candidate would have a university degree or professional qualification in engineering or facilities management, and over four years' experience in facilities operation. A strong background in troubleshooting processes is a big plus.
Good communicator
