Qualifications Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Hospitality/Tourism management. Minimum 2 years work experience as Team Leader or Assistant Manager F&B Training in larger operation. Work Dynamics: What this job involves:
  • Oversee the dining area, supervises food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies that he or she may help establish.
  • Creates a positive team atmosphere among Team Members.
  • Maintains records of staff periodic manner and operating costs.
  • Provides feedback and coaching to the Team regularly.
  • Understands building capability through Cross training
  • Treats all Team Members fairly, with respect.
  • Sets high standards for appropriate team behavior\'s on shift.
  • Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel.
  • Establish targets, KPI\xe2\x80\x99s, schedules, policies and procedures.
  • Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints in restaurants.
  • Identify customers\' needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns.
  • Schedules periodic food and beverage service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members.
  • Maintain budget and employee records, prepare payroll, and pay bills, or monitor bookkeeping records.
  • Check the quality of deliveries of fresh food and baked goods.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist management for assessing and finalization of sales representatives to order supplies such as tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
  • Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end of day.
  • Ensures new products are executed properly the following roll-out.
  • Is capable of handling irate customers with a friendly/calm attitude.
  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Ensures product quality and great service.
  • Shows enthusiasm about guest within the restaurant.
  • Is flexible in dealing with changes/problems (e.g., being short-staffed).
  • Ensures the smooth running of the food & beverage department, where all aspects of the guest food & beverage service experience are delivered to the highest levels
  • Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries
  • Develops and implements plans where property food & beverage initiatives & hotel targets are achieved
  • Design exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements.
  • Leads and manages the food & beverage team, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department
  • Prepares and is responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Establishes and delivers effective programes that advance service standards, profitability and cost control
  • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
  • Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required
  • Managing catering events, involving arrangements and negotiating with clients regarding the facilities and catering services for special events
  • Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork.
