You will work closely with the Senior Editor to shape the voice and tone of the technology section. You will work closely with freelancers and guide them in developing search-optimized, relevant technology content. You\xe2\x80\x99ll seek interview/feature opportunities with key influencers, tech news makers and have a keen eye for emerging trends and themes in technology. You will also serve as a resource in the newsroom and lend your voice in producing the best technology content for a global audience. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also work on developing explainer videos. Once you are onboarded, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be given a complete walkthrough of everything you are expected to work on. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also be assigned a work buddy for the initial few weeks to ease onboarding. Roles & Responsibilities

• Planning and executing a strong mix of trendy technology news and impactful long-form content
• Editing and proof-reading long-form content
• Guiding freelancers and staff writers on SEO techniques and formatting
• Assisting Senior Editor in planning, maintaining a monthly Editorial calendar
• Regularly quality check the content as per our Editorial Guidelines
• Content performance tracking of core success metrics for the content
• Establishing relationships with key influencers and subject matter experts

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proven experience in delivering a mix of features, long-form and quick news content.
• Proven experience in successfully managing desk and freelancers.
• Experience in building editorial content calendars and themes.
• Excellent project and time management skills, ability to multi-task and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Proven familiarity with Google Analytics and knowledge of SEO will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in AP style writing will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Strong work ethics and a motivated self-starter

Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Journalism/English/Mass Communications with 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience
