Pinkvilla is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who can lead its US pop culture and entertainment content vertical as an Assistant Content Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for the daily execution, process development, growth, team development, and traffic generated by the said vertical. The selected candidate will lead a team of writers and journalists, and will also oversee traffic from the US market as part of their responsibilities. Responsibilities - Driving daily execution, traffic, and growth for Pinkvilla\'s US pop culture vertical and its sub-categories (mainly Hollywood and celebrity trends, US-based news / controversies, social media trends, movies, reality TV and web series, sneaker fashion, etc.) Leading a team of writers and journalists to publish high-quality content around key trends Working with cross-functional stakeholders across SEO, marketing, product, and more to drive traffic growth Working closely with the Content Manager for R&D, competitor analysis, market research, expansion areas, etc. Ensuring production of quality content on a daily basis and adherence to editorial guidelines, while developing processes to improve turnaround time and experiment and innovating with new content styles - assigning daily articles to writers and ensuring daily production targets are adhered to Identifying key US pop culture trends from sources like Google Trends, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and assigning content as per those Staying updated with the latest content tools, trends, best practices across the digital publishing ecosystem Requirements - 1-2 years of experience in leading a digital content or media vertical Prior experience in growing traffic for content verticals targeted towards the US market is preferred, but not mandatory Strong content management skills and ability to take data-driven decisions Minimum 1-2 years of experience in leading a team and experience in developing strong processes for publishing, editing, and quality control In-depth knowledge of US pop culture and trends, ranging from celebrity news, Hollywood news and movies, memes, celeb gossip, OTT platforms, movies, TV / reality shows, fashion, social issues, social media trends, etc. Strong knowledge of US-based influencers across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube would be a huge plus Knowledge about major sports stars and other celebs in the US and their respective partners (wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, etc.) and their surrounding trends like net worth, investments, etc. would be a huge plus A good sense of humor and a desire to build something great will go a long way, we like working with zealous folks
