Job Summary

Works independently under close supervision, responsible for maintaining relationships with accounts by visiting customer sites within assigned territory. Sell products and services to customers and act as point of contact post-sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing business. In addition to face-to-face meetings, engage with customers over the phone and Internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) to close sales and support clients. Respond to client inquiries and offer guidance on appropriate products and services. Job Title: AREA SALES MANAGER Position Summary: Demand generation in the field through techno commercial sales promotion for Avantor AFH products by meeting end users in an assigned area regularly and thereby strengthening the Brand Image amongst the customers. Essentials Functions include: Meeting stockiest/dealers in the market to book orders, outstanding payment collection, by achieving sales & collection budget month after month. Regular feedback to RSM/AFH Head on market development, competitor’s activity along with daily and monthly report. Submission of all reports to the Line Manager on time to maintain discipline. Supports sales management plans by maintaining effective customer relations and assuring continued market penetration and profitability by making in – depth calls to end Users to achieve sales objectives. Strategies/Implements customer Specific action plans by mapping Department wise opportunities within the assigned accounts/territory. Develops and maintains purchasing and end user relationships. Resolves customer service related issues (i.e. pricing and product availability). Introduces new products and services to the accounts. Develops new customers and performs other tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science or a scientific field. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.
