Job Description
Responsibilities: As anApplications engineer (AE), you will work closely with R&D, marketing, field sales/ support and our customers to help drive development and deployment of Implementation Products. The main tasks will be understanding customer requirements and translating them to product enhancements, rapid deployment of new technologies with close R&D collaboration, supporting customers at an engineering level, handling customer evaluation or doing benchmarks. Duties include writing product specifications from the user point of view, validating product enhancements, developing and delivering training materials, benchmarking, tool evaluation support, tracking customer issues and more.Occasional traveling is required. Requirements: Must have completed BS with 7 Years or MS with 5 years of relevant work experience in Design implementation/ PnR flow. Good knowledge of digital electronics concepts and familiarity with ASIC design flow, and/or VLSI design methodologies is required. Person must be conversant with UNIX. Experience with Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor tools for PnR is essential. Expertise in IC Compiler II PnR flow is a plus . Excellent communication skills including ability to interface with customers and business unit personnel are essential.
