Overview:

As a Field Application Engineer, you are the link between R&D, customer and sales. Your goal is to generate technical solutions and successfully implement them at the customer. You will use existing Synopsys Verification products and concepts to work out new and innovative solutions for customers.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of the products and customer methodologies: You are familiar with all of the details from development to testing through to the sales strategy. As you will have direct contact with customers, you must have excellent communication skills.

Tasks

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues on customer installations; deploys and trains customers on new implementations and capabilities
• Reviews and examines feedback on product and solutions performance from customers and other application partners; works directly with Research and Development (R&D) to develop and implement technical roadmap, specifications and validation for improvements and enhancements
• Partners with customer technical pioneers and Sales to identify business challenges, develop effective technical solutions for new accounts and increase utilization and retention of products on current accounts.

Requirements:

• B.S. Electrical/Computer Engineering / M.S Electrical/Computer Engineering with 3+ years relevant industry experience in static verification technologies (SpyGlass, VC SpyGlass, VC LP, VC Formal etc)
• Hands on working knowledge of Low Power verification (Static, Dynamic), SoC verification, hierarchical flows and formal technologies. Working knowledge of UPF/CPF will be must
• Proven working knowledge of hardware design languages: System Verilog, VHDL is desired. Exposure to implementation tools like DC, FC, PT, ICC will be beneficial
• Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving and personal skills
• Be able to work with international sites on a daily basis and overall adequacy. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Contacts are primarily within business unit and occasional organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.
