Introduction:

  • Application support Analyst will be supporting Windows, UNIX and Java Applications, various Windows, UNIX based orchestration/automation, performance, access control and monitoring tools giving general support to other Run the Bank teams with business reports and consultancy about Data Application Projects..
What will you be doing? Specific – 70%

    • Level 2 incident management & Problem management.
    • Change and Release management.
    • Participation in service reviews and post incident reviews
    • Complex issue triage, investigation and coordination to closure.
    • Data & Configuration changes execution.
    • Batch scheduling changes (During weekends & Bank Holidays, etc.)
    • Identification of service improvements and stability activities
    • Complex issue triage, investigation and coordination to closure including leading triage on major incident calls
    • Collate data for Proactive Service Improvement Initiatives (does not include code changes) including trending of incidents, root cause and other MI to identify improvement actions
    • Own and Drive data for Capacity/Performance Management
    • Driving calls with impacted Clients, Colleagues & Stakeholders and maintain open and timely communication with relevant business, supplier and IT personnel, particularly Change the Bank development teams
    • Reviewing of Implementation Plans & Release Documentation.
    • On call support and ad-hoc overtime as appropriate.

What skill we required?
  • 3+ yrs. Of experience in Windows, Linux & MSSQL and Oracle Databases.
  • Good Understanding Incident, Problem and Change management.
  • ITIL foundation certified
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems and concepts of large scale monitoring (AppDynamics, Aternity)
  • Ability to plan and manage own work effectively.
  • Ability to work at pace, under pressure, whilst maintaining quality.
  • Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and to willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results.

Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Ability to pick up and take on new challenges, being able to assimilate information quickly.
  • Understanding of risk and controls and how to manage them effectively.
  • Understanding of CMDB management and control.
  • Basic understanding of File Transfer Protocol & SFTP
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) at all relevant levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to plan and manage own work effectively.
  • Ability to work at pace, under pressure, whilst maintaining quality.
  • Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and to willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results.
