Our team of industry experts serve our client base, including the largest oil & gas and energy companies, financial and oilfield service companies. Role: Rystad Energy is seeking ambitious and motivated analysts to contribute to the development of our core Energy Transition related products. We are constantly improving and expanding our product portfolio, and these new roles will form an integral piece of our ongoing development. The foundation of our products is a high volume of factual data combined with sophisticated in-house data management systems and forecasting tools, which model the physical and market-based mechanisms governing global energy systems. In this round, we are looking for strong research and data analyst candidates to join us in the teams that develop our CCS and Hydrogen Solutions. Refer desired qualifications on requirements for different roles. CCS Solution The CCS Solution focuses on the global market for carbon capture and storage, including communicated CCS projects, the global set of point-source CO2 emissions, geological CO2 storage potential and CO2 utilization technologies. CCS is at the forefront of the energy transition, with Europe and North America spearheading some of the most exciting projects within the CCS domain. Hydrogen Solution The Hydrogen Solution covers the entire hydrogen value chain, including the global market for hydrogen and hydrogen-derived products, from both a supply and demand perspective. Key focus areas include end-use applications of hydrogen in industry and transport, as well as hydrogen production technologies and market trends. With hydrogen becoming increasingly relevant as a pathway to decarbonize several hard to abate sectors, we at Rystad Energy are continuously working with clients to understand this fast-growing market. Key Responsibilities Research on product-related topics including, but not limited to, decarbonization of industry and other hard to abate sectors, developments in CCS technologies and applications. Research on product-related topics including, but not limited to, technology developments within hydrogen, production and utilization and overall hydrogen supply and demand outlooks. Develop and maintain granular databases with factual drivers to support the development of a Global Energy Systems model. Support and contribute to the development of a Global Energy Systems model. Communicate and coordinate with the core team in Oslo as well as other key products and stakeholders Implementation and develop models and data handling in excel, Python, SQL or C# with seamless transition and synchronization between languages Take part in the analysis of Rystad Energy data to form the factual basis of publications and commentaries Contribute in management consulting projects within the energy transition area, when relevant Requirements An individual with the highest levels of energy, determination and analytical ability is a must, combined with excellent communication, presentation skills. You will have fared successfully in academics, participated in extra-curricular and will have these qualifications: Graduates with max 2-3 years of experience (relevant experience varies from role to role) Chemical engineering degrees will be preferred for the CCUS roles General energy, economics, mathematics or other technical degree will be preferred for the carbon markets /policy research role Tech degree or Python/SQL programming experience should be preferred for hydrogen data analyst role with some chemical engineering background or some experience in renewable energy, energy storage or modelling of power systems Please elaborate in the Summary section on why you are a good fit for any of the positions above Proactive, independent, open-minded and creative Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and strong multi-tasker Good English skills, both verbal and written Analytical mindset and robust critical thinking skills, ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment.
