Job Description

• Understand electrical architecture of HEV/EV
• Define the system diagram of the EV for thermal system
• Define the controller architecture, interfaces (electrical and physical), and functions for thermal management system of EV
• Define the high level and detailed requirements for thermal system and controls for EV
• Perform system simulation and sizing for thermal management system of EV
• Develop the thermal management controller functions and software, including logic development, MIL evaluation, HIL evaluation and vehicle level validation using MBD approach
• Develop diagnostics for thermal controllers
• Implement ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements
• Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking, and database creation
• Working with stakeholders within the organization and outside (suppliers, consultants) for above development

• Working experience of automobile thermal management system and / or HVAC system
• Working experience of controls for automobile thermal management system / HVAC System
• Experience of Thermal Management Simulation in Matlab/Simulink or any other tool.
• Experience of Model Based Design with Matlab Simulink/State flow
• Experience in testing at controller level (HIL) and vehicle level
• Exposure to appropriate Regulations and Standards of HEV/EV such as AIS 038, AIS 102, AIS 048 and AIS 084 etc.
• ECU testing, excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of ISO 26262
• Exposure to Hybrid / Electric Thermal management system & Control Design, development, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics.

• B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication
• Minimum 60 % marks

• M.E / M. Tech in Control Systems / Power Electronics / Mechatronics and project work related to Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle
